  1. i'd love to get my hands on a 05 front lip. they are damn sexy ← Why are you always soooo angry BigBum? The emoticoms don't seem to represent your posts!!! Just my opinion, you may be trying to make some point that I'm missing...
  2. It will be interesting to see how the Focus goes later in the year when it is introduced also and forget Sainz... Diedier Auriol is a dude!!! I don't care how many championships Carlos won in the Celica :P, Auriol won the Race of Champions
  3. yep glued... search 'badging' on the forum and you'll find countless threads on this and great romoval tips too... ;)
  4. Kcorro has a 2nd hand one off his sedan that would fit a hatch, in Melb though, so you would have to deliver or drive down to pick up, but being an OEM unit it would surely fit well and assured of good build quality... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=2143
  5. All I can say is.... ... Blade, you're a star!!!! :) :D
  6. Anyone is able to host a cruise, simply post an expression of interest (EOI) in the Club Meets and Events section. Good to see the car has FINALLY arrived :D
  7. HaHaHaHa... read through their thread... very funny stuff, some of them have absolutely no idea, like comparing kW values to hp values instead of torque (Nm people, or Pound feet if you want to go all American, and if you do I'll pound my feet into your behind <_< <_< :P ) The article is also the one from the initial release in 2003, just check out the wrongness of the release date and the RRP. One of the guys there sounds like the workmate of Blackrolla too... The story sounded very familiar... but at least he was honest and tryed to put them in their place... ie Their biggest complaint was about the max torque band being so high in the rev range, sounds more like they need to learn to drive more and not cruise
  8. I remember the old nail in the muffler to make the car sound BIG days at High School, was very popular with the Gemini and Escort brigade...
  9. Run at own risk, but Wakefield Park has a strict no overtaking on corners policy and encourage you to break early. Cruise the Wakefield Park home page and all the info is there...
  10. Absolutely agree on this one, that is one awesome machine... :D
  11. bored and browsing the forum looking for MotorSport threads and came across this... Completely agree, this thread is just WIERD!!!
  12. Just to point out that while we were all enjoying a great long weekend, the 1st round of the newly re-named, SUPER GT championship has been run and won, with Toyota's taking out the first 2 spots on the podium in the GT500 division. Manabu Orido and Dominik Schwager (GER) 1st Takeshi Tsuchiya and James Courtney (AUS) 2nd Congrats to James and the Dynacity TOM'S Supra team, the 2nd car came in a credable 6th also. All info can be found at the championships new web home of http://supergt.net/en/
  13. Just a quick best wishes to everyone following the Easter break. I hope you all had a relaxing time (provided you didn't have to work) and if you travelled like I did, that you managed to get home save and unscathed. PS had my first experience of the Old Pacific Highway out of Sydney on Friday morning and back on Monday Arvo and all I have to say is just how sorry I feel for all those poor saps who insist on battling the gridlock on the Sydney - Gosford - Newcastle freeway. Every time the old road crossed over I managed to take a peak at the cars not moving and laughed as I continued to have some great runs against the other 'enthusiests' around me that know the 'short cut'. It was always free flowing and the largest 'group' of cars I was in would have been about 7 or 8 (as opposed to six-hunred-n-fiddy) I even had a good battle against a dude in a Patrol who decided there was know way I was going to be passing him around the outside through the twisties (overtaking lane at this point to quite safe, and within the speed limit) and he managed to hold me out for a couple of bends with the car leaning way too far on the soft 4x4 suspension but I screamed passed soon after, much respect to this bloke cos it looked brilliant but I'd prefer it if he drove safe, no way I was going to look to pass with him out of shape like that, one bump in the wrong spot could have seen the end of that Patrol, and my poor little stivo along with it. But nothing of the sort happened to it's all good... Cheers... Dylan
  14. Looks sweet, Welcome to the family :D My opinion on the 2 cars though, SP23 vs Stivo stock... Stivo wins hands down, though a sh!t driver can change all that, but modded, SP23 is cheaper and easier to boost reliably so has far greater potential as a tuners car, but does not have that LIFTing feeling :P For N/A tuners though the VVTLi Toyotas or any vtec Hondas are still the way to go.
  15. Silver Stivo spotted in the car park of new apartment building in The Enterance (NSW) open inspection on Easter Sunday (about 1:30ish I reckon but with Day light savings and all my body clock was all messed up), looked pretty stock, I parked across the road, opposite the car park enterance (cascade blue Stivo with TOCAU sticker below rear wing and stock).
  16. I actually thought the filter would pick it up... it was a bit of a joke really, I'll edit accordingly, but good point Zee...
  17. <----------------- Puts his hand up... I'm in, I'll make sure the battery does not go dead on me this time... :P
  18. only if you want to take it there azza :P but you forgot one... the dreaded wide body!!! and I think we covered knobs in another post already (chrome plated at that too)...!!! ;) :P what can I say, my mind works like this... car, ***, car, ***, car, ***... but never the 2 shall cross, unless it is *** in the car, but still, careful not to leave a mess :P ;)
  19. How could it not be their cars... or at least the Honda power... They changed engines after Melbourne so had the freshest engines in the field (along with Minardi) and they still blow up, I just think the Honda engines could not cope with the extreme weather... But another great performance from Renault, Toyota on the podium for the 1st time which is fantastic and there was a 3rd looming for Webber before 'the incident' with Fissi but for Heidfeld to pick up that place was great too for the Williams team. But to have 12 different drivers score points in the first 2 races of the year makes for an open championship to follow this year I feel, which will be good for a change after the last 2 years.
  20. I often find it hard to sleep when my nuts are being over torqued ;) Seriously though, it's OK, I'm not loosing any sleep, nor am I loosing any wheels or wheel nuts... I may be slowly loosing my mind though, however some would argue that it was never there in the first place :P Cheers for the help though B)
  21. CORRECT!!! different design and shape so won't fit into the recess...
  22. i think the manual states 98Nm. ← Cooley... You also could have said it happened when you had to change a wheel... Surely that isn't your fault as you cannot drive around on flat rubber... Shao... That's good if you've got a Torque wrench, my torque guage is my forearm unfortunately...
