  1. well done on reaching 1000 Craig... :D
  2. hmmmmmm..... neither do i... I guess it's back to the old system of linking everything to the garage and gallery then
  3. It's OK Zee, I'm sure you'll still be qucker then my stocker... worn tyres and all :P Plus still haven't got around to getting the clutch work done, just been too busy, so i'll be doing a slight short-shifting and hoping to keep in Lift as much as I can. Will be interesting... I'm pumped though :D Bad news about the suspension though... hope it is OK and nothing too serious, had you reported noises before lowering, because that is my concern about lowering, is if I am getting noises now that they can't diagnise, how will it be then, and what about warranty??? Anyway I need to bight to bullet and do the suspension some time...
  4. <---------------- Too far... :P
  5. either a typo or maybe 2ZZ-GE block with IZZ-FE manifold??? my guess is the typo... but yeah, this has been posted before, but a good dig up none the less...
  6. I just noticed (after reading some long threads) that along with this the quick links on the bottom of the last post that allow you to jump to the forum home pages have disappeared also. [EDIT] Whoops, no they haven't, I just suffered from momentery blindness [/EDIT]. I used to like seeing if someone was responding to a post, then I'd know to wait around a bit.
  7. Not quite as bad as the year BAR Honda is having, now that's a car with gremlins :P
  8. Update... Day 2... Atko dropped to 7th but still in the points and still running... :D 2 Stadium Super Specials tonight and 4 stages tomorrow... fingers crossed for him to improve from there. get your updates from http://www.wrc.com
  9. Toyota to win constructors crown Reliability to be the key - Gascoyne (GMM) Toyota. 2005 F1 champion. It could happen, according to the Cologne-based team's well paid technical director Mike Gascoyne. ''We have the opportunity to fight for the constructors' championship,'' he told Italy's 'Gazzetta dello Sport' newspaper. How so confident? 'Gazza' said that even though Renault are quicker, Toyota - for example - outscored the blue-and-yellow team in Bahrain 'thanks to our ... reliability. ''They lost a car to engine failure,'' he noted. Written: Fri, 08 Apr 2005 18:28:50 reference...
  10. Yeah, but his skirt is shorter than mine :P ← Yeah, Craig sure knows how to hitch his skirt up, show a bit of leg and whore a topic for all it's worth... :P
  11. I know he drives a Subaru but since he's an Aussie, I thought it only proper to give him a mention, and since Toyota no longer supports the WRC as a manufacturer I'll call myself an hounoury Subaru supporter, even though anyone who knows me knows I'm a Citroen man from way back (back when the 2wd Xsaras were winning all the tarmac rallys in Europe prior to their full WRC entry, and of course the Dakar success for many years in the off-road prototype before it was outlawed. Hmmm sounds very much like how I'm a Ferrari supporter but if Mark Webber does well, even better, even though I hate Williams). Anyway, I've had myself a bottle of red and pepped up on choc-coated coffee beans also so I'm just rambling now... :P But to get to my point... Chris Atkinson posted his 1st ever Special Stage win (at WRC level) on stage 3 of the Rally New Zealand today, backing it up with a second on stage 4 and another stage win in stage 8 (the final for the day) to finish the day in 5th overall. I hope he can finally finish this rally and get some points to get his 1st season in the WRC moving and by the time Rally Australia comes around, he'll be settled in the WRC Impreza and ready for his 1st round win (providing it doesn't happen before then) on a course he at least has some decent Group N experience on.
  12. I think you need a 'Toyota by name, not by nature' decal!!! or 'Corollin' along... Toyota' !!!! but congrats on reaching the 400 mark Azza, didn't take long, Craig must be teaching you how to be a Forum hussey... :P
  13. I've actually had quite a lot of dealings with Mitsubishi Gas and Mitsubishi Chemicals through my old job and yeah, they are HUGE. Mitsubishi Automotive is just a small sector of the Mitsubishi Name. But the 4 or 5 companies that share the Mitsubishi name are all treated as seperate entities and managed differently hence the reason why Mitsubishi Motors is in trouble, the other sectors are not going to bail them out. There is also Mitsui Chemicals which are not to be confused with Mistubishi (they are fierce rivals and WILL result in fist fights if you mention either around the other!!!)
  14. to go with which front bar Azza? The shark look, or the F1 nose cone look???? But personally I think the little bonnet wings they put above the vent intakes are just silly looking, but the bonnet scoop (more of a slot really) on the ZR however looks pretty sexy, IMHO.
  15. not that corney, cheers Azza Master Card has a lot to answer for!!! :P
  16. I'm still up for this... Suttons Forrest would be good for me as I'll be coming up the Illawarra Highway, what time you looking at? For those that don't know Suttons Forest is here... about 5 mins off the Hume Highway up the Illawarra Highway (it takes ages to drive through Moss Vale compared to turning off at the Illawarra Highway exit)
  17. Cheers Kien, Actually not really I just have wild outlandish ideas that seem to serve good purposes, that's why I work in R&D areas. If I had thought about things more at school maybe I would have done Mechanical Engineering instead of Chemistry, but them's the breaks. Maybe a second degree is in order once I finish my PhD. I'd love to be working in motorsport but don't like my chances unless I can develop a surface structured low drag paint, but even then it would be working for a subsiduary company like PPG rather then being hands on, though the wind tunnel work would be fun :) ... Craig... I'd love to hear more of this cam if you could keep me posted :D Later... Dylan
  18. Enough! Sorry to hear about your bad luck, but please PLEASE write in proper sentences, using "spelling" and "grammar". We live in a society, people. ← here here... I second that motion... Sorry to hear about the keying though mate, I've also had someone key my car near the rear door handle, quite deep too, but a coloured wax will cover it as mentioned, and if you a feeling confident, the touch up paint does do a good job. Allow it to dry and buff if up after and should be all good... But yeah, correct use of grammer gets you a long way here, not all of us speak in txt. Personally after years of typing structured sentences I find it more time consuming to think about what I need to type in txt then it is to actually just type what I want to say straight up. Plus you avoid miscommunication better, at least to the greatest extent. If you've seen 'da Ali G movie you know what I mean...
  19. OK, was down in Melbourne last night and today to meet with collaborators from RMIT and found a smorgasboard of Stivos Sighting 1: Back face lift Stivo, looked sweet too I might add, parked on Corner Elizabeth St and Flinders Lane around 10pm ouside Club X or some such quality establishment (I swear I was in a taxi going passed on the way to my hotel :P ) Sighting 2: White Stivo with sunroof spotted corner of Victoria Street just passed RMIT and City Baths turning right into Russell Street at 1:00pm Sighting 3: Peekays old car, still looks pretty sweet and still can't miss it... 3:00 pm heading west down Victoria Street
  20. Cheese is good... The cheesier the better :P
  21. Your prayers have been answered... this is the first Hilux model to come with the V6 in the 4x2 single cab :) I'm sure in a bid to raise sales of this model, but my cousin has the older ('89 model I think) 4x2 single cab with a canopy and I was amased by how good the little 2.4L goes with that light weight, plus the space in the tray under the canopy is amazing compared to the twin cab.
  22. My guess would be too peaky engine and little torque low down to split over all 4 wheels effectively. The reason why they can get away with it with the 1ZZ is that people don't use the car the same I guess. But hey the old 80's 4X4 rollas only put out about 30kW from a little 1.3 engine, but quite frankly went like sh!t, hence why a bought a Subaru L series instead at the time I was looking at those style cars... 1.8L and a whole lot of torque down low from the Boxer design engine...
  23. You better believe it. 120kw and 200nm.. They aren't half bad. ← actually 183hp hence the name Clio sport 183 which is roughly 130kw (slightly more I think) great car, better then the old Clio sport at the top end, but far too small for my liking... a cracker of a hot hatch though :D
