  1. For free weights, stand up as it promotes better balance, but for curls, sit down because you can isolate the guns (biceps), And don't forget to do the triceps which is actually more important that the biceps. sit down, back straight and extend your arm by lifting the dumbbell from behind your head into the air.

hence the question mark... sarcasm Rob, sarcasm
  3. Every other forum I know has a 'The Birthday Thread' pinned at the top of the general section. Post 1 contains everyone's birthdays, everyone knows it's there, and everyone uses it accordingly. I don't see the point in starting a new thread every few days for a new person when everyone can put their message in a general topic. The messages don't change, they are still directed at the right person, at the right time, and most importantly it still puts a smile on their face when they see it.

  9. not to mention all local authorities, clubs, hotels etc need to be notified to be able to cater for the group.
  10. some people these days have no shame at all, that in itself is a worry.
  11. and it has been very wet here lately so the grass is pretty slippery. I'll also point out the hill he was coming down is pretty steep, it doesn't look it in the photos though.

  13. I've nothing against larger women, but they have to realise that they cannot wear the same clothes that trimmer women can. MUFFIN TOPS ARE NOT ATTRACTIVE... add to that, off the shoulder tops aren't either when they are held up by rolls. Seriously, looking at some of the people walking around I seriously felt in a time warp too, their 'fashions' were a couple of years old. I'm not one to follow trends I'd rather wear timeless clothes like jeans and t-shirts. But seriously, if you chose to follow the trends, at least try to stay up to date.
  14. there's also a great deal of 'you really shouldn't have warn that' going around as well... it makes me sad :(
  15. hard to comment when you don't know the road... <_< About 100m further up that hill there is a couple of sharpish, off camber bends, it's quite narrow and bumpy as well.
  16. yep at the end of the day it's basically a VW Polo
  17. I can't see any Mitsubishi discs that would safely go onto the Corolla. The FTO is 5 stud for starters and the brakes are 276mm diameter so not worth the 'upgrade' for 1mm. The only thing worth looking at would be EVO brakes that are 294 or 320mm, but again, 5 stud so would have to be redrilled, but even so, the hub diameter is huge at 69mm compared to our 55mm. The other dimentions look like it 'may' work though. You would also need to get the Brembos fitted to make use of this too, as the stock calipers will look tiny with those discs. The discs would not be very secure though with the hub size difference. It'd be like driving on wheels matched with the wrong hub rings. sorry Marcus I read discs, not calipers.
  18. I suggest looking on the DBA brakes parts list and finding those that have similar hat/thickness dimensions and go from there.
  19. Go to Bunnings and you can buy boxes or 4 or 10 energy savers for less than $1.50 per light. They are NOT expensive at all. They last 10 times longer than a conventional bulb so you are saving $1.20 per bulb for starters (worked at $0.30 a bulb for 10 bulbs) not to mention the savings on the bills you get from using 12 Watts instead of 60 Watts.

  21. Generally the front suspension and brakes goes with the 1/2 cut. Especially on an ST205 you may as well just sell the engine if not.
