  1. no idea, they didn't want to talk to me because I was the 'bloody corolla' that went passed them :P
  2. Yeah your brother and I are still praying for Rx7 Series 6's to magically appear in our driveways lol. meh... I drove around 2 of them at Wakefield Park, and a series IV too

  5. pretty much a non event here in Wollongong... we had a little rain and a bit of thunder but nothing that exciting. Still some rumblings going on.
  6. meh, they are only small ones... I'll be on the look out though... any chance of hail, if so I'll go home early so I can put my car away.
  7. That's the cat coverter. It's not that big :P Would be fine. no it's not, it's a muffler mounted east/west... the only way to tell is to get under the car and see. I believe it will fit as there is quite a bit of space around the wheel well. You have the muffler already? why not jack up the rear and test fit that portion? use someome elses car if you need to as you have an east/west pipe already in place.
  8. yeh, heard about this last week. Definately a well planned job and so soon after autosalon. Interesting to note the Skyline drag car has been up for sale for a little while too.
  9. I think I may stick with the yellow... there's enough Gold on my car now as it is :D
  10. it should fit, the actual 'gain' you get out of it may be limmited as the pipe diameters will be wrong. You will definately have to change the flange to fit it too as the 1ZZ and 2ZZ flanges are different.
  11. seen it a billion times before.... lame
  12. cos there are 2 Blue sportivos with number plates in succession one YUL-377 and one YUL-376 one is a friend on someone from this site... the other is definately NOT!!!
  13. looks nice, where did you get the Gold paint from and what sort of paint did you use. I have yellow paint sitting here waiting until I return from holidays to do mine. :D
  14. F6 just south of Waterfall sitting on the medium strip
  15. Nice upgrade Ash... and it's actually red :P

  17. Of course you can get gains on the 1ZZFE. It's the same as every other engine afterall. The work done on MAP81's car (CAI, Exhaust and ignition timing) increased his power by a dyno proven 12kw ATW. Not bad for a car that makes "100kw" at the flywheel, and when you compare the overall power and torque to something like an AE111 20V 4age that is rated at 160ps from the factory, the modded 1ZZ makes more power at the wheels in real life. (I'd personally like to see a ZZ motor transplanted into an older lighter AE series shell to see how it goes ;)) Mintos also achieved excellent gains from his 1ZZ. The increase for similar mods on an auto would be less due to the extra drivetrain loss associated with the auto boxes. Jason I keep dropping hints to a few people on Toymods and SRC and a couple on Twincam to do this... I can't wait for someone to actually do it... what they don't realise it the 2ZZ-GE is actually a few kg lighter then the 4A-GE as well... ;) I personally like to see one mounted into a RWD... preferably an RA23 What did you do with the ignition timing?
