Losing weight is a cheap mod. Strip the boot interior, remove spare tyre, remove all unnecessary items from car, eg cds, phone chargers, umbrellas, plush toys etc.. :P

He needs to rtfm. The first two pages of the installation manual are in japanese, but after that it's in english and lists the parts that come with the kit. Bolts are NOT included in the kit so definitely reuse original bolts. I have a hunch that he hasn't replaced the rubber bushings with the metal bushings, and has just placed the metal ones under the existing rubber ones - now his original bolts aren't long enough so thinks he needs new ones ?

I had bel garage install my coil overs - the guy that worked on the car did a good job and the price was reasonable and he didn't mind me watching over his shoulder asking questions. My log book servicing is done by a trusted local mechanic who doesn't rip me off.

yeah 2 no issues but its just in case of the 3rd syndrome, and 2 slim line up rigts and a capsule should fit. im thinking id rather a vasectomy then get rid of another stivo. Rather have timing chains than timing belts anyday. Foresters are good but 8200rpm is way better. Get a sportivo first and you could always get a people mover later if the 3rd one comes along. :P

Welcome back...! :D Fitting the baby seats and capsule shouldn't be a problem. I have a child booster and baby seat in and it's quite ok.

I use teins and they are great, no noise, no problems whatsoever, although my missus complains that the ride is too stiff even with the damping set to the softest but that's on rough Sydney roads.

If these are aftermarket springs, then check the coils in your springs on the lower side, some of them may have "collapsed" ie. compressed tighly than the other side. You might need a spring spacer of some sort to bring it level again or get another spring.

Check behind that panel with the rust on it. If I recall, twigs, leaves and dirt channel from the openings near the bonnet hinges and get caught behind that area. It needs to get cleared out every so often. One of the things that a mechanic from a performance workshop recommended to me was to get a can of carburettor cleaner and spray it liberally into the throttle body to clear out all the crap. If your idle isn't stable, this might be something worthwhile doing. The genie extractors are quite good, I had a set, and I could feel a difference in torque even when running with a stock exhaust.

Nice car - I regret selling mine but needed something a little safer. I drove one for ten years or so and then sold it to an apprentice toyota mechanic for a bargain price of $2600. At the time it had 170K on it, but that was back in 2003. Things to watch out for was rust around the front and rear windscreen, fuel lid, rear wheel arches. Other than that, the car was reliable, engine was bullet proof, an absolute joy to drive as it only weighed in around 900 kilograms.

My car was in a garage, garage window was open, yet still had a blanket of orange dust on the car. Saw some people out with hoses rinsing their cars, I just drive by with a smile, knowing that it'll attract more dust when wet.

No. 2 to No. 4 is where the oil cat can needs to sit between on a 2zz. If you undo the hose at no. 4, you'll notice some residue oil in the hose. Whereas No.3 won't have any oil in it. No. 4 is about 21-22mm, someone needs to measure it exactly, as I have given up on trying to find hose that's 22mm and flexible.

I've got 1:10 scale Tamiya TB02 with all the alloy options, an TB-EVO3 Surikarn Edn, a Tamiya M03 mini cooper and an Xray T1 FK05 that I never got to race due to starting a family. They all sit on the shelf now and the nimh battery packs are probably dead. Also have a 2x Team Losi micro-t, and team associated rc18t truck plus 7 x Kyosho mini-z. I spent up big on RC cars instead of spending on real car mods, but that's now changing.

I did my 55K oil/oil filter change. Also cleaned and adjusted ride height of my rear coilovers about 5mm higher and polished my muffler tips. :)

It takes about 20 to 30 days for the 2zz pfc to arrive on your doorstep from nengun if they don't have it in stock and need to order it in.

One of headlight globes blew, so off I went to the Repco to buy a replacement for $36 and fitted it in. Looked at my oil catch can and am contenplating on selling it because I can't find a decent place to mount it.

For the past couple of months, they've been resurfacing a section of the road in the royal national park and it is closed off so that you can't go all the way to sea cliff bridge/woollongong. I took two different week days off of work to try this drive out, but the furthest I could get to is the turn off to bundeena. Have they finished with the road works now ?

Inspected my car for dents after doing some grocery shopping.

What's the advantage of having the heavier gear knob ? It requires a lot more force to shift - wouldn't that make shifting slower ? In comparison, the trd quick shifter comes with a 38g knob.
