  1. Give Wholesale Suspension in Penrith a call. Apparently they fit Konis to zze12x on a regular basis, and price is better than what you were originally quoted.
  2. They are whiter than the factory standard bulbs, but no blue in them. They might have a very slight yellow in them, but I can't be certain. They are really bright though, sometimes when stopped at the traffic, the reflection of them off the car in front makes you squint. They are australian approved bulbs too. I bought mine from Repco a couple of years ago and they're still going strong. http://www.narva.com.au/Globes_21.html
  3. I use the narva 50+ now and even with my headlights angled downwards, I still get high beamed by the occasional driver that think I have high beams on.
  4. I can't believe that more people around him aren't helping the poor guy out. If this happened here, lots of people would try and help by comforting the injured person, collecting there belongings and phoning an ambulance.
  5. This Dob in a Hoon is making its way to Sydney already... Wollongong has it now... http://www.shellharbour.nsw.gov.au/default.aspx?WebPage=281
  6. Okay guys, where can I get an onboard video camera ? I'm going to dob in anyone that cuts me off in my lane, because that is hoon activity in my opinion. If they're going faster than me, then they're hoons.
  7. These are whiteline 73206 control springs that I have on my car. Boot is empty and no heavy audio gear either. The 4 loops up top are also closed up - could this be the design of the spring as they are progressive ? I've emailed whiteline support to clarify. I hope it's not a design fault.
  8. Didn't nextmod.com.au source it for another member on here ? Have you tried them ?
  9. I didn't have a choice when I bought my pre facelift back then when they first came out. Initially I didn't like the big bug eyed headlights, but was really buying the car for the engine and 4 doors rather than the looks. Thank goodness for eyelids and a bit of lowering, it makes a prefacelift look pretty decent in my opinion. If you can get a pre-facelift from an older driver running on the stock ride height, it might have less of a chance of being constantly thrashed. As to having high k's, mine has just hit 43K.
  10. This must be awesome to stay in the lift zone in all gears without even trying... I have a few questions. Can you easily go back to the original engine loom to plug in your factory ecu if necessary (eg. if toyota needs to get error codes out of the ecu for a faulty sensor) ? Also, apart from the temp gauge and immobiliser not working is anything else like abs affected ? I'm so tempted. Money not an issue, but the missus is but if I keep persisting I might be able to get somewhere.
  11. 10 for reliability. My car has not missed a beat since I bought it new and hopefully it will stay that way.
  12. :P I don't have an e-tag. Does this mean I'm exempt from this. :) Chain mail ?
  13. I've driven 2.5k klms since my last oil change. I checked the oil level yesterday and it hasn't even dropped from high.
  14. Lately I've been blipping the throttle with double clutch down shifts, and the cai makes the usual intake noise that we're all accustom to. I'm doing this in peak hour traffic and was wondering whether this gives me the hoon image like in those rta advertisments. Another thing is, that I'm finding it difficult to keep a straight face when hitting lift from 1st to 2nd. Does this happen to you to ? Can you keep a straight face as if nothing has happened - I think those rta ads are rubbing off on to me.
  15. I mount my gps with some adhesive velcro tape in front of the radio. I absolutely loved the cheapy gps that I have. It says street names, and warns me of red light and permanent speed cameras.
  16. I have absolutely no idea who he is. Did he star on neighbours or something ?

Is there a reason why people sell off their d2/g4 coilovers within a year of owning them ? Edit: Sorry this belongs to the stupid thread.
  18. I got the impression that the apexi being a dry type filter can't be reused - similar to the factory panel filter. Is this true ?
  19. They've been going for less than $200 on ebay. I've been watching them, but due to christmas shopping, I've been trying to control my spending. If you do happen to get a decent price on the item, I would be interetested.
  20. I've had a couple of clashes with drivers of older magnas these last few months. One magna driver intentionally cut me off on parramatta rd causing me to slam the brakes hard in order to avoid hitting him in the rear passenger quarter panel. The d!ckhead simply smiled as I drove past. Another driver of an older magna does an illegal left turn from the right hand lane while I was turning left in the left lane. The idiot then beeps me and tries to give me some lip. I assume old magnas are getting cheap and people are driving them without any regard to other road users. Anyway, good to see you've come out of this one okay. Hope your chinese doctor can sort you out, some are pretty good when it comes to healing internal bruising and muscular pains.
  21. Complete years 11&12, then look at your options then. Perhaps take up a diploma at tafe in computing or electronics. Keep in mind that these days with electronics, when they break down, people just discard them and buy another one rather than getting them repaired. There appears to be more opportunities in computing. A lot of people that do electrical engineering end up moving into IT.
  22. At the time when I asked my insurance company about an aftermarket pod filter the insurance representative said as long as it is rta approved they have no issues with it. No additional premium for me. This may obviously change if I call up again and speak to someone else.
  23. When I went to my last dealer service to pick up my car, I swear I could hear the car being driven hard around in an upper level car park at the service centre. Low and behold, a young guy comes down the ramp in my car 5 minutes later. When I went to get new tyres at bj, the tyre guy revs and launches the car on to the hoist. You can see the front part of the car bounce up and down a few times. It didn't matter to him whether the front lip scrapes against the hoist ramps. I use to take my old ae82 to an Ultratune until they charged me $300 to adjust a hand brake claiming that they changed all the cables... at that time I didn't know any better. No surprise that ultratune franchise has closed down. Out of the two, I'd still choose toyota dealer rather than ultratune. If someone knows of a decent mechanic let me know.
