  1. I use toyo proxes t1-r in 205/55/16 and they are an excellent tyre but in this size the tyre will rub the inner part of the chassis on full left lock. I think it's probably better to go 205/50/16.
  2. I also use the outerside of the right foot to do it as it feels naturally more comfortable, but sometimes the foot slips off the brake or blip too much. I think the heel toe method is more suited to the track when you need to be heavy on the brakes.
  3. Look in the group buy section of toyotaownersclub.com
  4. Thanks for putting the info up. I just had an alarm upgrade fitted by Leon and I'm very happy with the price, service and professionalism. For anyone wanting to put an alarm upgrade in their corollas in Sydney, this is the guy to contact.
  5. 1. What a load of bs ? 2. 40 minutes to install - it's easy. Instructions are in japanese, but you can look at the pictures. 3. Make a decision.
  6. Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to have to get myself some of these babies. :D
  7. What's the deal with these flowers... I'm saw two cars that had them on the rear windscreen, and guys were driving them.
  8. I did a search but couldn't find the answers. What I want to know is if they really do reduce the crappy front wheel hop as what's stated in following url http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/motmtins.html also, how much engine vibration can you feel when these are installed ? Is it annoying or quite subtle ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motor-Mount...128059288QQrdZ1

Futaba 2PH is okay entry level stuff. Personally, I bought for the Futaba 2PL because it has a few more features. Make sure it's either 27 or 29 Mhz AM and if possible has C Tick compliance. TT01 is a good entry level car, ideal for drifting and strong as a brick to withstand major collisions. It just has limitations on motor spur gear and pinion combinations meaning you won't be able to gear as high as everyone else at the local race track. Also i don't think it has camber adjustments either, but you can alway buy aftermarket stuff that will let you do it.
  10. Rear torsion bar does not necessarily mean bad handling, if that's the case, why did they use a rear torsion bar setup in the new civic type r ? We all know out of the factory the corolla handles like a boat, but if you put some aftermarket sway bars and fit coilovers that have been "properly" setup by someone that knows, strip some weight from the car, put in a lsd - surely this must make it close in terms of handling to a factory dc2r ? I'm still not convinced when people say honda>toyota. Probably true if you're comparing straight out from the factory, but nothing a few aftermarket parts can't fix. Sorry for kicking the dead horse.

Here are my dusty shelf queens. Nissan 350z is on a tamiya TB evo 3 surikarn. MG shell is on an xray t1 fk05 that's never been run. Battle scarred mini is on a tamiya m03. Not really into drifting in this scale, but have tried it and found that it's a bit too slow moving for me.
  12. Can we watch ? I'll bring my torch, empty milk crate and some popcorn. :D :D :)
  13. I listen to 106.5 during the day, but switch off when love song dedications comes on. Don't use the cd much but when I do it's mostly classical music.
  14. Hmmm, saw one on the road the other day and I'm not a fan, unless they put a really powerful engine in it I may be interested. Next car has to be > 141Kw can't settle for anything less.
  15. dc2rs engines are getting on up in the kilometres now, so does it really matter if it's hand built or not ? Also, most of them are probably modded from stock anyway which would upset the balance and setup from factory.
  16. I want to know what's the deal with getting that tattoo above the bum crack/lower back.
  17. I learnt how to solve a rubiks cube in 6th grade. We had a teacher that was infatuated with it, and ended up teaching the class how to do it.
  18. Just enter your tracking numbers at the link below to see if it's arrived in oz or call australia post and have them search for your tracking number. http://ice.auspost.com.au/
  19. I prefer dominos over pizza hut. The sauce used in pizza hut pizzas is a little too strong for my liking. It's hard to taste the actual pizza toppings. These days for a quick meal, I just get the ones in coles which are cleared wrapped for $6. They taste better than any of the frozen pizzas. For good gourmet pizzas I'd recommend going to Mancinis wood fired pizza at Summer Hill.
  20. Good that you're both okay, but you might want to get your neck checked out for whiplash. Personally, I'd make an insurance claim and get the insurance company to chase his insurance company. Take your car to your own panel beater. Rego sticker thing sounds sus to me. Even if you pay online, you still have the rego sticker, it's just not stamped with a receipt no.
  21. No. Check the photos in the workshop submission area under trd cai installation. It has photos on what can be removed.
  22. It's never happened to me for over 18 years of driving touch wood and I look asian. You sure it's an asian thing or simply having a car that stands out as modified ?
  23. One is to open the flap on the bottom of the airbox to let more air in.
  24. Very nice car - well done and well kept for it's age. I've always wanted one of those but couldn't afford it :(
