  1. According to the instruction manuals that come with the whiteline camber bolts, if you buy 2 sets for the front, you can install them into both upper and lower strut holes and adjust to get more than -1.5 degree camber. They say that this is strictly for track use only.
  2. The ones on ebay are authentic trd, so buy with confidence. I have a set from TRD HK and a set from ebay, and the only difference that I can see is a different manufacturing batch number stamped into them.
  3. Can the vipec 44 lower 2zz lift engagement point like the pfc can ?
  4. hey a bit off topic, but do the monthly meets at the bunnings car park still happen ?
  5. Did you all just finish watching fast and the furious but not stay to see the ending credits and disclaimers ?
  6. Out of the three, I personally would go for the ultra racing front strut as it looks like it's made to handle both heavy duty street and track duties whereas the whiteline strut is ok for the street.
  7. yeah i was thinking because it takes consideration to the driver, maybe the extra weight with the engine and driver, it would make the front heavier and sink lower, so they kept it a few cm higher who knows lol. yeah i didnt get the instructions with it, i wasn't to sure about the damper setting i know its 16 clicks but does it start from the right as in 1 and turning it anti clockwise (to the left) adjustes the damper to 16? To adjust the damping, turn clockwise until you feel resistance where it won't click anymore (don't force it to click when you feel the resistance) - that will be the max hardest damping. From max hardest tamping turn anti-clockwise to soften the damping but don't go beyond 16 clicks anti-clockwise.
  8. You'll notice with the teins, the front spring on their lowest height setting, won't actually be as low as say king spring super low fronts whereas the rears can go quite low. I've always wondered why tein made them like that, but being tein, I'm sure they've put extensive r&d into them. Also, when adjusting damping, make sure you don't go beyond 16 clicks from max hard (ie. anti clockwise). The install instructions/manuals specifically say going beyond that will cause damage to the coilover. Good purchase by the way, they are a great street coilover.
  9. I agree being pressed bend rather than mandrel bends, but nevertheless another option on the table. I don't think anyone here has tried them out yet to give them a fair review.
  10. Very nice ride. :D kt_haha goes gti, now you go vr32. I'm still on a sportivo with the same remus muffler in our group buy. I'm so jealous and I'm obviously in the wrong field of work. :)
  11. What's wrong with them ? I thought the 1zz guys were happy with wildcat headers.
  12. Wildcat/Genie now have extractors for corolla sportivo 2zz TOYOTA COROLLA 1.8LT SPORTIVO PART No WILD704 http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/popup_im...412a819a80470e9
  13. Try this place, in Carlton so not so far from Rockdale. Owner has great attention to detail. http://www.bestmufflers.com/
  14. I wouldn't get it, but that's because I have aftermarket rays wheel nuts which say no to impact wrenches.
  15. Check behind the bumper to see if any bumper brackets/mounts/plastic bits have cracked. I hope you got the offenders details for an insurance claim. I tend to avoid city street parking and will either take public transport or park in a secure car park if I have no other choice.
  16. Hmm... looking at that photo, I prefer the location of the TRD one. It's more out of the way when putting bags in the boot. Although it looks like the c-one can be removed without stripping the entire boot area.
  17. Welcome back Kcorro ! :D When are you coming up to Sydney for a meet up ?
  18. Just wondering if anyone has these bushes fitted and willing to provide there comment on them ? What I am interested in is more feedback to the steering, so that it is easier to detect if the front tyres are losing grip during enthusiastic driving. Will they make a noticeable difference ? http://www.nengun.com/c-one/steering-gearbox-bush
  19. Don't worry about the high initial debt, just keep paying off as much as you can and cut down on unnecessary expenses. I did and my first home is fully paid off, now I'm onto the second one. Driving a corolla help me save the $$$.
  20. Those prices for kumho ku36 semi slicks are ridiculously cheap. I wonder if the 215/45/16 fits a 7 inch rim without scrubbing ?
  21. I also had my eyes on the rota slipstream and found that no shops in Australia carry rotas. Some shops can order them in, however, you'll probably get a better price going direct through ebay US or tirerack.com. Lookup ozhonda forums, occassionally there will be a second hand set that comes up in the for sale section of the forums but they get snapped up pretty quick. Superdave, for a smaller rolling diameter can't we use 16inch rims with a 40/45 profile tyre ?
  22. Hope it all works out well for you Yoshi. I've stopped taking my car to my Toyota dealer and am using the one that Daviboy recommended to me, but that's in Sydney. I think it's a known fact that a lot of apprentices work at dealerships.
  23. I would get a well maintained eg civic from an enthusiast. There are plenty of aftermarket performance parts available for the hondas so you'll be able to mod as you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_tzkK5xfh8
  24. Rear skirt prices are inclusive of gst: $420 from Castle Hill Toyota. $415 from Lakemba Toyota. Prices have gone up significantly.... <_<
  25. I noticed that by having the throttle cable underneath the front strut brace, the accelerator pedal is not as responsive. Could it be because the strut brace is pressing against the throttle cable and causing resistance of some sort ? I know on an old exercise bike that I have where a cable is used to adjust tension in the flywheel, that by making ever so slight re-positioning of the cable it would either give me heaps of tension or less. Anyone else notice the difference or is it placebo playing with me ?
