  1. Grand Prix Mazda in little side street at about say 1.30pm. That way if its cancelled we'll know before mosst of us leave home. TNT are usually called off about 12pm due to bad weather.
  2. You saying I"m 50???? <_< <_< <_< After seeing her in the flesh the air bags definately look fake and has really changed my opinion. :( But if I could go to a resort and see her frolicking around in her skimpy bikini then I'd class it as a good holiday :P As for Gretel..... on phrase says it all. "Mutton dressed up as lamb" My wife knows Guy Sebastian through some mutual acquantances. Gretel tried to hit on to him on more than one occasion. For goodness sake she's almost old enough to be his mother!!!!!!!!
  3. Got to take one for a test drive this week and have to say i was impressed with the power but a few small things it lacked were the following. A decent gear shift. the throw from 1st to second etc etc is too long and feels a little vague. The gates from say 2nd to third are close but the other way is too long. After market quick shift would solve this. :D Car lacks genuine road feel. It's hard to tell what the car is doing under you. You can feel the great power and torque but it needs a little more work in the suspension dept. I would suggest some firmer springs and a rear sway bar to tie the rear down a little. Some better tyres. Enough said. :D Better exhaust system. The rear resonator is way too restrictive and you can hear it choking it under full boost. Easy fix with a trip to CES :D A bit less weight. At some 200 odd kg's heavier than the Sportivo it's getting a little on the porky side. Don't get me wrong the car is great fun to drive and will be giving WRX owners a very big surprise in the right hand for sure but these things will make the car that much better again and would in my opinion make it feel safer to drive as hard in the twisties as I could my Sportivo. If I had the $$$ ATM and could do all the things mentioned above I would have one sitting in my garage right now. The power and the way that the DSC works is great and makes it a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Definately not a car for someone inexperienced with that sort of power being that it's front wheel drive and in the wet I'm guessing there will be a few sorry owners with big repair bills. :D Thumbs up Mazda for building a decent car although a little on the pricey side for the top of the range. Toyota..... are you listening????????????????????????????????
  4. Depends on who is doing it!!! :P For me it takes about 2 hours by myself :D
  5. For those of you who are not happy about other members whinging about your "whoring" this is the whole reason that the Club Lounge has been created so that you can chat and chat and chat in here as much as you like. I personally don't have a beef with it unless there is a thread that gets hijacked by 2 or 3 members starting their own conversation mid topic and going for a page or so which has happened on occasions. This is where the complaints have come from to my knowledge and the moderators have been lobbying for the club lounge to be made for a long time and now that its here you don't want to use it?? If you have a comment to be made in a thread please by all means make it but if you just want to chat to your fellow TOCAU pals about something then this is where it'll happen. The club lounge is what you make it guys/gals. It's here for you to use so enjoy!!

  8. Note to self ... allow extra 15mins on each trip ... 27 y.o. hairdresser car + 27 y.o. truck motor + 27 y.o. auto = S-L-O-W :P Ahhh Buddha the Mazda boys are gonna love you.... A fair race
  9. b4 the clutch goes...'bye bye now' ...and c'mon guys i dont weigh 50! kgs...more like 58 kgs :P yeah but that's after a big meal at Kings Food :P :P
  10. Oh of course. How silly of us. Because you know everything, someone at Toyota would have put their job on the line to approve a baseless warranty claim for your: Intake, Exhaust, PFC etc etc equipped toyota that you downshifted and blasted past the rev limiter on? Can I get some of what your smoking? I have access to cost price parts when I need them due to work I have done for people that work high up in toyota, I'm not saying it would be covered under warranty, just that it would cost less than half what Corey paid. You've gotta admit that $5800 for a brand new engine(rocker cover to sump) is a good price compared to RRP of a shade under 11K. Lucky for me my eyes spotted the bargain through my long list of sooper dooper sneaky peaky contacts
  11. What tyres are you running???? What suspension do you have??? These 2 factors alone can determine what RPM you can launch at and get good hook up or lots of wheelspin. If your on stock suspension with stock tyres or just springs then it's a bit of a fine line. Or if your a crazy man and weigh like 50kgs so you don't have to take any weight out of your car hey Wei Wei :P :P Then you'll run the numbers you may want. Coilovers/upgraded suspension and good sticky tyres will go a long way to not having to give your clutch a hiding cause you can launch at good general RPM(about 3500 -4000 if your cautious) and get hook up. you can launch at higher RPM but it's only a matter of time.....
  12. 1st gear in the Sportivo to redline will finish the chances of a VTi Civic ;) Been there and done that :P As for the Falcon... if you can drive you can give your mate one hell of an attitude re-adjustment B)
  13. it was there idea to start with, all i did was increase my chances....and for 10K why not give it a go..... and besides that you can't tell me that you wouldn't have tried it either Jason :P
  14. Lets hope for a rainy friday - then a warm overcast saturday... enough to dry the track out but keep the humidty nice and high. Rain on friday should keep alot of the weekend warriors away... but the serious guys will take their chances... High humidity + cold winters night = much goodness for PBs... bit of a double edged sword for traction though... just get some nice heat in through a quick burnout =) Schedule... will finalise tomorrow (sorry for hte late notice)... and i'm searching for an assistant grill b!tch so I'm not feeding everyone by myself again ... pm if you wanna help (free fuud) There you go Russ the magic 2 words....FREE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. If he's so hooked on wanting a Mazda then I'd suggest you look for a second hand AUTO SP20. You should be able to get one for the money you want to spend. No ball of fire in stock form so prolly very safe if he's not a competant driver as you have suggested.
  16. Downside of owning blue or black. If you were smart you would have bought SSIILLVVEERR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. 03 Sportivo purchased December 03 with 83 000kms. 1976 Kombi with a small figure of 874 000kms on the clock. :P Last engine rebuild(of original engine with lots of mods) netted me 460 000kms before I dropped a valve having a run(and beating) a VN V6 Commodore. Speaking of low Km's I also have a Honda Civic (1978 model) with 63 700kms on the clock.
  18. Sportivo should be dynoed in 4th as it is as close as to 1:1. I've had dyno runs done at five different locations and all were done in 4th. One even tested the "myth" of using 3rd and 5th over 4th and peak power was still the same just your dyno speed is a lot higher.
  19. 2003 purchase with 82 000km's of lift hitting excitement!!
