  1. Thanks for the info :) Can you please give me the model number of your Black and Decker? and are they expensive? Thanks :) Model number is 6138-46. I bought it about 9 years ago and it cost me just over $500 back then. I'd hate to think what something like that would cost now and if you could still get it. :D
  2. Many happy returns of the day Tom!! All the best. cheers SB:)

    Thankyou

Old school all the way baby ;) ;) ;) Don't like alternate(much) heavy metal(no thanks), hardcore rap(idiots) but give me the classics all the way. Tried and tested and stood the test of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But then again I'm prolly a lot older than most of you and can remember the 70's and 80's :D :D
  5. Mate I could get you both front strut and rear sway bars. Easiest way to get them both would be to put the front strut brace on as your mod and then get the rear sway bar and paint it black and swap it with the stock sway bar. They both look the same and unless you have both side by side then nobody would pick the difference. As for Whiteline sway breaking Pippy is the only one who had that happen and more than likely it was a manufacturing defect as I've fitted quite a few and have one myself and never seen one break.
  6. Not 2 worried dylan if u under cut my time atleast it stays in NSW :D :D :D :D :D On a side note if we ever met on the street not saying i condone street racing atleast we know wat the result would be ;) ;) ;) ;) Tickets to the Policeman's ball all round
  7. RRP on a short engine(Sump to rocker cover) is just on $11000 from what I've been quoted. Hence why I jumped on the engine that Southside Toyota in Brissy had on their surplus parts listing for $5800 for Northy!!!
  8. Bowdens is desgined for maintaining cars that are in very good condition(not neglected cars) which need a little extra gloss/ depth of colour/less swirls but is a lot harder to use than the Meguiars products as it doesn't have the cutting power/ agressiveness to remove stains/scratches etc etc and is a little more complicated in just how to apply it to the car. The results on a good car are awesome but is more time consuming. Colour boost isn't like gold class as gold class meguiars is their top shelf polishes/waxes etc. The colour boost is a single step light cut/polish in one. You can use it then follow it with the Gold class wax which will yield great results too.
  9. Hopefully the weather will be fine not raining like predicted :(
  10. gday corzza, which bush joints do u think might be worn?? have u changed anything in yr steering area,if so what was it and how much did it cost?? bloody annoying having a steering wheel on a little slope left or right when wheels are straight. only really feel it when driving on freeways at hight speed. can u name any places that could find out what the prob is and fix it,eg like a pedders or something?? all the best, lauschie Mate it won't be anything to do with a bush on your steering column. you need to go back to the wheel aligner and tell them to adjust the steering wheel to 12 o'clock as they obviously didn't have the wheel set there when they did the alignment.
  11. Most of that list now resides on my car As for Northy's car being slow.... he needs to clean all the crap out of it(laptops, modems, computers, clothes, shoes, spanner sets, socket sets and whatever else is packed onto the back seat or in the boot) If he does that it'll run 14.6's all day long :P :P :P
  12. Well I have been reading this thread with interest seeing what you guys are up to and how your doing it!!! The buff I have is a Black and Decker industrial with 16 speed settings and a pressure sensitive trigger which means i can get the polishing head to spin really really slow if I want to. It has speed ranges from 1000rpm to 3600rpm. I use foam dimple pads, flat foam cutting pads, foam finishing pads and also a lambs wool pads for really bad paintwork to rip all the crap off. Last count I have about 6 different pads for different products as using the same pad with different products can sometimes cause more damage than you would ever think imaginable. I currently use a lot of the Bowdens car care range and still use a fair few of the Meguiars range of polishes/cleaners. If you want a polish that is easy to use and will give you good results with not too much work use Meguiars Colour boost. That's it's retail name and has only been available for retail sale for just over a year. I have been using it for years as I could buy it in commercial quantities(3.6L) It's basically a single step fine cut/polish with a non silicon wax content as well to boost colour depth, gloss and also remove small scratches, light oxidisation and also to a degree swirl marks. I use it on my car and get great results by firstly using a clay fallout bar over the whole car, then the Colour boost and finally a good coat of carnauba wax. Paint is silky smooth and the depth of colour and gloss is eye damaging out in the sun. Colour boost can also be applied with a buff and works best using a Meguiars cutting pad. Ask any of the Queensland members about the condition of my car for an 03 model with 80 000km on it and it is possible to keep your car in great condition whilst it being a daily driver. It also gets washed once a week so that nothing really sits on the paintwork for any length of time as this is usually whats does the damage(bird poop, bugs etc) Check out my garage for some pics..... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...e&CODE=12&CID=4
  13. I've used scratch X and been able to do 7 cars out of a tube. Secret is not to drown the applicator pad in product as you should only be need ing about a 20c size of it on the pad to do about a square foot of bodywork.

Must be something in the water down south?????:)
  17. I feel that a few members on here are disgruntled with a few moderators because for so long we have had moderators that haven't really been doing the job to the best of their ability and now that some are starting to enforce particular rules that are broken regularly and try to keep the forum organised and in an orderly fashion that they are now(myself included) being overly critised for doing what is needed when the circumstance arises??? Moderating is certainly not an easy job people as you will always stand on somebody's toes no matter what.
  18. SILVABULLIT

    Thankyou

I think that the comments about Northy are a bit on the harsh side people. :( You complained about my comment on whether somebody spoke english fluently enough to understand and labelled me racist even thought I said numerous times that I wasn't being racist and now you're practically doing the same thing by calling him fat and the like?? Some of you should pick the log out of you own eye before trying to take the splinter out of other's eyes :( As forum rules state there are to be no personal attacks on anybody no matter what position you hold on this forum...... please adhere to them :) Thanks SB.
  19. Loop Loop Loop Loop Loop for me and a big loop for you too if you come out on Thursday night Might even have my own car there too which would be nice ;)
  20. Anybody up for a Nebo run or somewhere else perhaps??? My wife is away in Stanthorpe and have the whole weekend to do what ever I want to :D :D :D

    "CARS"

Hey all Just got back from the preview screening of CARS. In my opinion anybody who likes motor racing and cars in general has to see this movie. It's really well done and the sound affects are great too I mean a Porshce actually sounds like a Porsche!!!! I think that adults prolly would get more of the punch lines than the kids (as they do in most animated movies) and can appreciate the way they have depicted some of models of cars as well. My favourite is the Split Screen Kombi(favouritism I know) in the traditional hippy paint job. There are all sorts of cars from Porsche 911's to Ferrari's to Willy's Jeeps and custom Cadilllac low riders. Most of the story line is based around Nascar banked oval track racing with heaps of action to boot. It's one movie that I'll buy when it comes out on DVD for the big and small kids!!
  22. I'm sure that there are more than a few Qld members who've seen that I can travel just as fast around corners as it does in a straight line with all four wheels on the ground and without coilovers :P :P
