  1. Is it the factory system or aftermarket? If it's aftermarket take it back to who ever fitted it and ask for the problem to be solved. :D

    Ciao

Know of a couple of very nice Sportivo's who have had "wedding car" experience......
  3. Is there a public holiday down south??? That'd be why I haven't got the last remaining items today:(
  4. Contatc Rollamods for info on the 7afe. He would be your best bet for relative info.
  5. CES dyno day will be around June/ July :D

    Ciao

Mate I made my first post on this forum and you had me on the phone within 24 hrs wanting to know all that I had done to my car and why. Funny things have happened since then and we've managed to develop things for our cars not as individuals but as a team of sorts and all the hard work and times when I thought about throwing it in right at the start but it was your youthful enthuisiasm and willingness to help that made me keep looking and finding "the answers" to bringing performance mods for our cars that some talked about a reality. B) It was you that got me involved in this site as a somewhat computer illiterate member ..... how times have changed... I now know a little more about computers and forums :P Anyway we all will have to move on sometime and it's looking like it's your turn so move on mate and get your woman into line and sort your priorities and get your butt back on here :P Only joking good luck and if you need any tips for hiding "parts for the car receipts" drop me a line ;) I have ways grasshopper I have ways..... One last time the thing you'll always be remembered for...... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showuser=104
  7. Hay u should get a refund on that **** so calld extra "10kw" more lik "-10kw" CES Man u got a bit ripd. BIg bill With the stock 112kw now thats calld octane booster just kiding Bill good stuff like to see it with the cold air intake arm on an a nice pod then we will get up there with the daewoo boy's :P !! WHat happend on PK's run he was unhappy with that car :( . Cheers Mehmet Mate you obviously don't know alot(if anything at all) about Corolla's <_< If you don't mind me saying Lucio(agree to disagree if you want mate :) ) was prolly the biggest sceptic of CES' system and looked at all other avenues on the market and ended up buying one and is happy as he posted. The difference in figures between Sportivos' etc on a dyno is crazy. There is a lot of variance between cars and to compare them straight up won't work. I've seen a stock Stivo push over 112kw and a modded one push 111kw. Like the results on the weekend all cars are different and react differently to different mods. As for the "10kw " gain from CES... I believe it says on the website 6-9kw gain. ;)
  8. Want to be quick if you want a new Sportivo as they're getting very very thin on the ground.
  9. Also if you run rich for a long period of time it'll wear the valve guides a hell of a lot quicker.
  10. QUEENSLAND - THE STIVO STATE Spotted Svalerko yesterday arvo on Kingston rd heading south and turning off at Kingston Railway station about 4.30pm
  11. I've had my car on 3 different dyno's in Brisbane and the readings were all pretty much the same. 2 runs were done in autumn/winter and one in summer. CES dyno(bosch) 119kw winter time C&J motorsport(dyno dynmaics) 116kw autumn Mercury motorsport(dyno dynamics) 113kw summer As you can see the readings are all somewhat comparable taking into the account the time of the year. the difference between CES dyno and C&J was that the C&J dyno read exactly 2kw higher with dynos being completed within 2 days of eachother in somewhat exactly the same temps etc. Can't really comment on Mercury as I've only had the one run there for a dyno day. Maybe the Brissy cars are better :P But I would imagine that you guys further south should push better numbers with colder climates and nicer weather conditions :D The plot thickens.......
  12. Sure like to try it some time. Cause it's a hell of a lot hotter up here with higher humidity on average all year round with our average winter temps only getting as low as +-5 degrees. The 21 degrees temp you guys had for the dyno day is about our max daytime temp for the middle of winter not summer. :D After all heat sucks the performance out of an engine hence why we are always looking to find things to stay cool. ;)
  13. Come up to Brisbane!!! At our last dyno day at CES we had 6 cars over 112 kw at the wheels with the best being just under 119kw. TRD CAI. TRD headers and CES cat back system. Temps were pretty much the same as what you guys had on the weekend. Even in 32 degree temps with high humidity my car still managed just under 113kw atw. :D
  14. Lets just say on the intake and exhaust side of the engine ;)
  15. $1500 for a good port job seems fair as it's a hell of a lot of hours to do it properly. What other mods have you got? I would be going with something other than Injen as 2.5" pipe is too small for the 2zz intake as I've been testing for the last 3-4 weeks. 2.5" is ok till the top end of the low cam then it starts to struggle for air flow. Lift kicks in and it level pegs the TRD intake but by the time you hit 7000rpm the power just drops off dramatically. The pipe diameter just cannot flow enough air to the engine. Before you get the head done I'd be looking at headers, exhaust, intake then get the head ported and match the manifolds(exhaust and intake) to get the best result. From what I've read the intake side of the head is pretty good but the exhaust ports is where the gain is to be made. I wouldn't worry about spending the extra dollars on a high flow cat as the gains are so minimal that you can't justify the money. The cat on the stivo is actually very good and will flow more than enough for what most of us are planning to do with the car. By the way testing is currently being done on some new performance accessories for the Stivo in Brisbane. Keep a watch out over the next few weeks for details. :D
  16. Bit hard to tell which mod is doing what to the power curve. Easy way to tell would be to remove apollo and do a run.
  17. http://www.twincam.org/forums/index.php?sh...pic=17532&st=0& have a look here as suggested in the first post.
  18. yer but you're old :P Where's the respect these days Young whipper snappers need a good belting for being disrespectful :P
  19. By the way Lucio describes the dyno run it's the air filter that's strangling the engine's output. Been testing CAI's for the last 4 weeks and a CAI with 2.5" diameter pipe is too small for the Stivo. At the top end of the low cam the power drops off, then as it hits lift the power climbs again then by about 7100rpm the power drops off again. This is doing a direct comaprison to the TRD CAI using an ITG filter on both. The Apollo may feel good low down but it's sounds like it's killing the top end. Exhaust will not do this cause if anything it will be the other way around with less power at lower rpm and more top end. Cheers SB. :D By the way what did Peekay's million dollar Euro do? Hope he had more than the 112kw of a stock sportivo :P
  20. Today 107kW Temp 21 Degrees , Humidity 73% Last Year 108.2 kW Temp 21 Degrees, Humidity 43% With the exhaust, its a couple of kW up at lower rpm. Last time i had a short ram with a bigger pod and probably better air flow at top end than the K&N Apollo. Not to mention humidity 73%. Power can probably fluctuate 5 kW up or down depending on the day. Last Year I was running BP Ultimate, todat i was running Mobil 8000. Perfect examble is Bill's car, up 4 kW since last dyno with no mods. Once again this result will stirr up the CES debate, wether it is a worthwile mod. :) Lots of variables there and it's pretty hard to compare with figures from last dyno day as you've highlighted Lucio. The only way to see the true gains of a particular mod is doing a before /after on the same day so it elimates the usual variables of temperature, humidity and difference in the cars performance.
  21. Spotted Svalerko on the corner of Muller and Beams rd Taigum this arvo at about 5.30pm. Spotted mtbrider on Lemke rd Taigum at about 6.30pm. Looked like your car .... silver stivo with bike racks on top.
