  1. I tried to set up a trade account with them to buy some stuff for my car and to help out a few others with cheaper prices. I sent 3 emails and got no response whatsoever. I called and got some woman who took my details for someone to call back but no call so I went elsewhere. I prolly would have ordered heaps of stuff through them but am glad now that it didn't happen as since then the reports about them have been all bad. <_<
  2. Don't suppose you've got a flannel and a HSV cap and a HSV "I just want one" sticker on your car and also the little boy pi55ing on the Ford logo too. From what we know about you that's the kinda picture you paint to us up here in Brisbane as we've never met you and everytime you hit the key board "warrior" our forum gets these smelly brown stains all over the threads you comment on. <_<
  3. On a Sportivo a racepipe would not lose power only if you remained in lift all the time. Anything under that and you'll be robbing peter to pay paul. Might make more power top end but it'll knock the bum out of your low to mid range power but increase your "noise power". Before you all say it doesn't SHOW PROOF!!!!. A sportivo on a dyno with the rear muffler removed loses a fair whack of power from 2500-5900 till you hit lift then it's much of a muchness for power. One thing I've learned from spending hours mucking around with exhausts for these things is that they have a very fine line when it comes to getting the backpressure right. That combined with the noise factor is not an easy task to get right. Personally I think the racepipes sound like a Gemini with a crow bar through the rear muffler. Popping and banging and the friggen deafening drone in the car. I know I sat in Shao's car(now Northy's car) for a few laps around Darlington Park and it's enough to give a deaf man a headache. :P
  4. I've read this thread and I can't seem to find where Xoom has challenged you to an illegal street race I'd like to see how long your pushrod dinosaur would last revving to 9000rpm (opps forgot it'll only go to about 6500rpm) Obviously you don't "challenge" many decent 4 cylinder cars but just pick on the try hards with cannons and supercheap rear wings(ahh that could be a commodore too :P ) . I know and have driven many 4's that'd eat a V8 for breakfast, lunch and tea.... My brother's 1970 model Volkswagen for one (to be fair it's only a pushrod motor with a 6500rpm limit ;) )
  5. Check out my garage or Northy's for pics of the tips. Wei Wei also has twin tips of a different style as does Sportiv.
  6. There's no Sportivo's left for sale in Brisbane and for that fact Queensland. JC from this forum got one from a dealer in Sydney for 28 ish with tint, mats, pedals, bonnet protector and head light protectors. He flies down to Sydney to pick it up Friday week and then runs it in on the drive back to Brissy. Better be quick as on Friday there was 18 left on the east coast but as carsales suggests there's now a lot less than that.
  7. Tell them to fix it in a week or you want a loan car for the entire time the car is off the road. Norhty got told 3 weeks for parts for his car and funnily enough when toyota aust interviened they were here in 3 days.
  8. Can't see that being a problem.
  9. Like I said it's $960 for the system with the basic single tip on the rear muffler and mild steel flanges. Extra $100 for stainless steel flanges and about $150 for twin tips with about 3 different styles to chose from.
  10. TRD stuff coming in from overseas so may take a little longer
  11. It does require cutting the pipe right behind the cat and welding the flange on(supplied) The system entails the following;- stainless steel piping 2.5" stainless steel custom made resonator Stainless steel custom made rear muffler All nuts/bolts and gaskets DB tested and under legal limit choice of mild steel or stainless steel flanges (stainless steel flanges extra $100) choice of either single standard tip or choice of twin tips(few different styles and price varies for twin tips) Gains on a standard car with no mods is approx 9 KW at the wheels Works extremely well with TRD CAI.
  12. Except those who are going to educate the uneductaed :P :P :P
  13. Hi all I was talking to Trevor from CES yesterday and he has asked me to pass on the following information for prospective CES buyers reagrding the cat back for the Sportivo. Here's the deal he is willing to do for TOCAU members; If we can get 10 orders for a Sportivo cat back system by March 31 2006 he will knock 10% off the price of the system. If you are interstate then this saving basically covers the price of freight and some off the actual price of the system. So if you are interested in this group buy then please add your name below. A deposit of $100 by the due date of 31st March 2006 will need to be received by CES in order for your exhaust to be made. So round up your Sportivo associates and get ordering cause if we don't get 10 people then NO DEAL! CES website for further info is http://www.cesracing.com.au/.
  14. Put the spare motor in the boot as you'll never know when you'll need it. As it always happens in the most inconvienent place ;)

  16. Who out of this list is still coming? Please indicate as we need to know numbers :D Especially for food. We need to double the amount if Svalerko and his brother are coming :P
