Well our annual dyno day/ show and shine has been run and won etc etc for another year. We had 17 cars on the dyno with 14 of them being Corolla's, 1 Celica, 180SX and a Toyota Chaser courtesy of Rollamods :) The show and shine was also run with a great variety of Corolla's and the one lone Celica. Also a big thanks goes to all who attended this event to make it probably our biggest gathering to date of forum members(that I can remember!) Today is the day my fellow Corolla owners and at this stage I've had a measly 7 hours sleep in the last 48 hours so I'm excited not only about the dyno day but excited about sleep this arvo :) Weather is looking good and if you can make it then please come to CES for a look!

Hate to say it Blue stivo but it's rubbish in VW's as well. I've tried it my orange and white block of flats and you think you get a burning smell in a water cooled engine..... In my car it smelled like the Exxon Valdez after it dumped all that oil and caught fire!!! It also caused my oil temp to be hotter than normal.

Yes Azza not the strongest man on the block. Can't beat the hidden kill switch and a seriously loud alarm siren. My uncle had a mate who was a sparky wire up an alarm system for his car using a PA siren hidden under the bonnet and a set pattern of kill switches. Get the sequence wrong and cop 140 odd DB of screeching siren!!!! You could nearly hear it in the next suburb it was that friggen loud

51EKa all dyno spots are currently accounted for. Unless somebody fails to show up on Saturday then we won't be able to fit you in. Should have booked earlier Mate sorry :(

Magnatec is rubbish. Go with a semi synthetic if your driving is predominately on the street and use a full synthetic if your doing some serious track work. I use Penrite Semi synthetic HPR 10.

How bout all you Melbournians???? It's not like you to let us Brissy boys have all the good fun and events!!! If you've got the contacts then gather a crew of trusty helpers as I've done and there it is... B) At this point in time it looks like the possibility that we will have approximately 20 Corolla's at this weekend's Dyno day and show and shine. That's about double the amount we had last year B)

Only a warm punch in the gut? Thought it would've been at least a cold one :P For those of us who are helping to set up(Silvabullit, Azza, Danthuyer, Buddha & Northy?Can't remember is I asked you!) Be at CES at about 7am to move cars etc. Azza give me a call later in the week for a meet time(prolly about 6.15am) for a nice leisurely drive to CESB)

The car was donated by the local Toyota dealership to the Morgan park raceway complex as a pace car/ First intervention vehicle. And yes it is a Sportivo and needs some mods desperately.(I'm working on that one!!) My uncle preps and builds engines for a large no of Formula Vee drivers in Qld and he said that the ol' Sportivo needs some serious mods performance wise as well as handling wise to keep up with the field on the first lap of the race. But he did say it looked good with the lights on the roof etc ;)
