  1. Eibach pro kit 30mm Whiteline 30mm Kings springs lows 35mm king springs super lows 50mm lovells 50mm(also do a low which i think is about 30mm) Pedders 35mm(may also do a 50mm drop too) My personal choice is if you only want to go 25-30mm is go with the eibach. If you cannot afford that much for the kit(eibach is about 540? chicaboo just got some) I would go with the whiteline's.
  2. Sorry boys my computer has died big time and have no access to the forum apart from when the wife brings a laptop home from work. I haven't seen or heard anything about it so hope you might accept my tips late. Sorry. Chinese GP Team: Brawn Drivers: Button, Hamilton Pole: Trulli Fastest: Button
  3. TYK-7334 HD I have supplied quite a few of these over the years and can have them in my hands from my supplier overnight. Peddle feel is actually lighter than stock on some cars for some reason LOL.
  4. CES did look intp doing headers like you have mentioned but there was simply not enough interest to justify doing them. Plus most on here want a simple bolt on type set up so that converting back to stock is a simple procedure. The other thing you might want to think about is doing these headers on a stock car to show just what the gains may be. Doing them on car with XYZ CAI, catback will not show true gains or represent what the gains may/may not be. Prices too might spark some interest as well. I remember CES quoting me something like 1200 4 odd years ago for tuned length headers HPC coated with merge collector, modified mid pipe with custom flanges and flex couplings and also moving the cat and modifying the O2 sensor wiring to reach the cat's new position.
  5. So why aren't you using semi worn out street tyres instead of semi's?? :P :P
  6. It's ok Phil not everyone can own a Classic like my van LOL
  7. That's the cleanest I have ever seen your car mate LOL. Looks damm nice!!
  8. Fat Pipes..... name even sounds boganish LOL TOCAU will be having a dyno day this year... stay tuned....
  9. Why 1.04? the bench mark has been set at 1.03 with no ces gear :P Imagine how much faster he would be with CES gear???? 1.00's perhaps guess he will never know LOL Don't forget the PFC and semi slicks vs a stock ecu and CAI with worn out turanza's.....
  10. Dunno where stuff is in Sydney but Westside Mufflers in Padstow (i Think) do awesome work and have done quite a few corolla's with varying mods exhaust wise.
  11. I used to do 1100 - 1400K's a week in that thing detailing all over Brissy. Pretty hard to keep it looking A1 when it is doing that sort of mileage but being a detailer kinda helps LOL.
  12. Well it mighten be a Toyota but it certainly got a tad bit of attention form all who were there early on saturday night. 33 years young with crappy paint a few battle scars from being a daily work van but still come up OK me thinks!! Top job Tangcla!! Love your work!! Here's a few I particularly like!!
  13. Do we email Tanglca to get our pics?? Can someone please tell me what the go is? I'm back from holidays and itching to see the shots in full screen as they looked pretty damm good on the view finder on his camera!!
  14. Power steering on full lock will also cause it to stall as well. PFC doesn't incease base idle rpm when A/C is on. so idle drops quite low and cause hunting in revs. MT I know about the diff between PFC and motec. Chalk and cheese LOL. Just having a bit of a joke LOL So what kind of power are you putting out of the rally car?? In addition to motec what else is done to it??
  15. Won't be out this week due to being on holidays. Might be out next week in the new car though..... It has 4 doors, boot bigger than North's SS, something similiar to VVTL-I and some other nice little gadgets.....
  16. Anyway i guess he didn't like his buy and sell thread getting removed... oops. Read the buy and sell rules mate.
  17. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=1317 check first post for directions etc etc.
  18. might want to elaborate what an "Adub" is there buddy. Be nice to see you out at a thursday night meet every now and then seeing as you aren't located too far away.
  19. Looks like it could be the train tonight by the looks of the weather....
  20. Micky if we are comparing ECU's then the Motec is the Ferrari and the PFC is the VW based kit car of the thus mentioned Ferrari. I know of one BB harness in Brissy that combined with a PFC is entering an engine bay of a Sportivo real soon. Combined with a dose of CES goodness i'm sure the results will bring a smile to the owners roughish looking dial.....
  21. toe 0 as Sd has said and for everyday driving set camber at about .75-1 Deg negative. Go any more than that and tyre wear will become evident very quickly. As for setting corner weights etc etc are you willing to buy a few different sets of springs to get it right?? not many places go that far into setting coilovers up except for maybe a properly set up race workshop. For what you want get the camber and castor set. then simply start with the dampener settings at half way and then change to suit what you want(harder/softer). Forget setting corner weight etc etc on the car for everyday use. total overkill imo and you only really set something like that for a purpose built race car not a street car that sees a track a few times a year. Plus you will pay some nice $$ for somebody to set it up too.
  22. Get yourself the right tools first then get a manual or get someone who know what they are doing to show you how to do it. Cause if you stuff it up it could end up costing you a lot more than repairs to your brakes.....
  23. Facelift panels will be a goer in the not too distant future. Back is feeling up to it so am just organising the guinea pig car for a few hours of R&D here and there to get them done.
  24. Ash I understand what you are saying in regards to the Aurion. But at the same time span in the life on the Sportivo Corolla as compared to the Aurion I did exactly that.Sportivo had only been on the market for 4 months and i forked out the $ and got a system made. It worked really well and when people heard about it and I posted pics etc it got a lot of interest. I then went back to CES and approached them about putting it into production plus thay had received quite a few enquiries about it as well. The rest is history so to speak and I'm sure that the Aurion will have a longer life span than the 3 odd years that the Sportivo Corolla existed on the new car market. I guess it just comes down to somebody putting up the $$ and being the big guinea pig for the big bad Aurion..... FYI CES did do a full system for a TRD Hilux(custom exhaust manifold and full stainless system with custom mufflers etc etc.) Car sounded brilliant and performance improvements were very noticable. Owner was taking car to have tune down with aftermarket computer but has never been seen or heard of since.... we're both talking about the same thing essentially... i guess what i'm getting at is that while some people want performance gains from modifications they do to the car, others purely want the modification to either make the car look better or sound better... i have NO DOUBT at all that once someone is ready to spend money on getting more power squeezed out of the aurion, i'm sure they'll spend the money to properly design a system.. (there was one guy down south who has already tried i believe) until then, if people want a mod to make there car sound better than its been proven 3 times now that the varex is a good option... at the end of the day, if i still had my job, i'd be knocking on CES's door to design me a proper system... unfortunately for me, that aint the case.. the only thing stopping me getting a FULL system done on my car is my issue with the CEL coming on... and i think thats scarring off a few people as well... anyway... all i'm getting at is that i think you should just respect other peoples decision's in what they choose to do to their cars... the varex muffler is FAR from a turbonator (or what ever those electric fans are called)... these mufflers have been proven over and over again in the wider car community to work (IN ACHIEVING WHAT THEY WERE DESIGNED FOR!!).. i havent actually seen anywhere that claims to get HUGE power increase by just placing one of these mufflers on their cars... the idea of the valve in the exhaust system has been around for YEARS... so its not exactly a "new idea"... its just a new implementation of the old idea... :) oh and just for the record... i'm not having a go at you... just having a healthy discussion... so please dont ban me mr mod admin sir... :P hahaha No offense taken Ash. I understand the majority of Aurion owners are just after a bit more noise and the varex is obviously an option - albeit for me a bit of an expensive one but it has it's merits in that you can turn the noise off basically. A lot of peeps that I have had anything to do with who have a varex try and tell me how much more HP their car has but when asked for some concrete evidence all i hear is crickets LOL. I have spent time at length under an Aurion and certainly can see a fair bit of a HP increase in doing a whole system properly. Just how much of a gain will be something we will just have to wait and see.....
