  5. Wind them all the way to soft then count how many turns all the way to hard. Now wind them back to the softest setting and wind them up to roughly 3/4 of the way to hard and try them there. That is where I set most of them with king springs and it rieds well and handling is good as well. The sportivo accessory springs are a lil softer so you may have to do a lil bit of playing to get it to suit your needs.

  7. But the gain in increasing the WHOLE pipes diameter is where more power is made. Replacing the small section of pipe near the resonator and muffler where I.D. steps down might do something but don't think it will do a great deal. Gains will certainly be nowhere near the gains of a full 2.5" catback system. Gav the size of the piping you have mentioned isn't cheap. CES looked into this waay back at the beginning and it is dearer than buying the more common sizes of 2.5" and 2.25" hence why they never bothered persuing it. Why build a system the same size as stock?? Before all you muffler replacing bandits jump on the bandwagon and start trying to slay me with your Varex and X force muffler "swords" remember that mufflers are not the only place restrictions take place. There is such a thing as a restrictive pipe as well...
  8. Ash I understand what you are saying in regards to the Aurion. But at the same time span in the life on the Sportivo Corolla as compared to the Aurion I did exactly that.Sportivo had only been on the market for 4 months and i forked out the $ and got a system made. It worked really well and when people heard about it and I posted pics etc it got a lot of interest. I then went back to CES and approached them about putting it into production plus thay had received quite a few enquiries about it as well. The rest is history so to speak and I'm sure that the Aurion will have a longer life span than the 3 odd years that the Sportivo Corolla existed on the new car market. I guess it just comes down to somebody putting up the $$ and being the big guinea pig for the big bad Aurion..... FYI CES did do a full system for a TRD Hilux(custom exhaust manifold and full stainless system with custom mufflers etc etc.) Car sounded brilliant and performance improvements were very noticable. Owner was taking car to have tune down with aftermarket computer but has never been seen or heard of since....
  9. T money do tell as I am home here with a very very sore left leg and hip from a heavy fall at basketball last night. Actually I just plain simply got taken out big time by a fella bigger than me. So much for a non contact sport!! I cannot drive without severe pain and discomfort so the drive from Bracken Ridge to Kingston and home this arvo was not fun at all. By the time I got home it took me about 5 minutes to just get out of the car wincing the whole time. As for Northy's car is concerned lets say that the ol' Commodore didn't say "oh what a feeling".......

  11. Turbonator has been around for years and originated in the US funnily enough!! It claims to do wonders but it never seems to show any gains on a dyno... go figure LOL
  12. 2.25" will do the job for a 1zz, but will be a waste of money on a 2zz. Need 2.5". So when is the red baron equipping his plane with one these systems???
  13. All I was saying was that it seems that the majority of Aurion owners won't do something unless DJKOR does it first kind of thing. As a varex muffler is kind of a gimic so to speak and has no real proven track record as far as HP increase I was wondering who would be the first to get another gimic "the turbonator"?? It seems so many want to be able to say " I got me a varex" so why not add a turbonator?? No harm done there is it? Darryl I think it looks good from the back maybe just a tad low but not that bad.
  14. 10000000000000% illegal here any state. Would not even entertain the idea of a dry set up. Properly set up wet style NOS system would work as Jimmy said but the biggest problem with NOS is you get greedy and want more then all of a sudden there is a shower of schrapnel coming out from under the car and you kiss that engine goodbye.....

  17. Side skirts are the same for both models. 03 Sportivo silver colour code is 199 silver glaze. I think the silver for the facelift(which I don't like at all sorry) is called sterling silver. Can't remember the colour code.

  19. Father in law has a 100 series with the fold down seats in the very back. He only has 2 single buckets in the the front not the 3 seater bench like you do(actually 2 plus 1 for driver).You may find that your car might even have the mount position in the body under the floor covering. If that is the case then head to the 4WD wreckers and hunt a set down.

Too many people have lost money and never received the stuff they paid for hence the tougher rules to stop this from happening.

  23. you do need to modify the back edge of the hole behind the headlight on a facelift. the lip needs to be bent downwards to allow for pipe clearance. the headlight on the facelift has a lot larger back on it and sticks out further. the back edge of the hole behind the headlight has to be bent down in order for the pipe to clear the headlight.
