  1. at least when you forget, you can hear it
  2. i know our passat makes a huge tic tic sound when indicating compared to the camry :P
  3. Wow, indeed a nice car, the liberty, nice pick!! :D
  4. How long has it been working for? How is the setup wired? is there a separate relay setup? Some Possibilities: 1. bad connection or bad ground resulting in flickering = bad = constant high ignition of the ballast = damage! 2. Poor quality bulbs/ballast. is it a aftermarket one? I purchased the car around 3 months ago (2nd hand) It turns out its an aftermarket Hid Xenon Kit. I dont really know much about these so i dont really want to stuff around with it. Will an auto elec be able to deal with it? or perhaps is there any troubleshooting guides lying around that i can flick through? Thanks guys. You can get the ballast-hid unit out and use the car battery to test them out, if they work fine there then it should be something with the connection.

    Dash

if you're paranoid, take it out and clean it...then you'll see other smudge marks that you've made while cleaning it!! :P with the dash, you mean changing it by painting? or changing the globes?
  6. according to toyota, it is FWD. i wonder why they don't use the kluger 4wd system?..

  8. wow very nice!! all that luxury makes us other camrys look like 2nd class :P
  9. Get a TRD badge hehe :) hairdryer and leave the car in the sun works great , and use a fish line to...."fish" it out !! :P
  10. Yeah ditto that, my camry does that too :)
  11. Hmm that decal reminds me of a promo or dealer vehicle..
  12. Very nice buy - I like the grande with all the small extras..chrome handles..GPS..sunroof..leather...just includes all the package! What color is it?
  13. A big list for some!! But this is my small list: VW passat 1.8T 2000 Merc CLK230 Merc ML500 Toyota Tarago Toyota Aurion sx6 Toyota Rav 4 Toyota Avensis Nissan Cefiro (overseas model) Lexus ES 300 and ofcourse the lovely Camry :)
  14. Well halogen projector - the curved reflector surfaces and lens were designed to suit a halogen tungsten-based bulb and a HID projector were made for HID bulbs. HID projector (s2000) : the reflective park + a D2S bulb The front part with the LENs and shield and some info http://www.aa1car.com/library/hid_headlamps.htm
  15. nah i'll just get a 70k lexus and use the rest to buy a house + loan!!
  16. Ok, No problem.. I'll let you know once done :) Actually its not too hard for the Gen6 as you only need to do minor modification to the housing, i've seen it done from a US site, here are some progress pics: And this is what you call real HID.. What you need: some kind of projectors : as shown above, these are TSX projectors (same ones as accord euro) - you can find one from honda wreckers as you can't use the american ones as they are LHD. You can use your existing HID kit ballast as long as you've got a AMP style D2S plug (ebay's a good place for that), bought a set for 18usd a while back. And then you'll need some D2S bulbs ...Ebay for cheap aftermarket ones, OR get the philips 85122+ or Osram xenarc, very reliable. (i'm using the philips one) OR you could buy a 2nd hand set of OEM ballasts/bulbs 200-300.. and you might want an extra pair of headlight - so you can work with it just in case you don't break your ONLY one....:)
  17. not another HID in a halogen projector thread.. :( = glare but anyway, it should fit if you've purchased the correct bulb. Any pics? and if you really want to go ahead with the HID Kit, you need a wiring harness...
  18. Personally bought an 03 sportivo 3.0 v6 with 88,000kms a couple of months ago. Get around 12.5Litres / 100kms driving mostly in metro/city traffic, less than 10L on the highway. Engine still purrs like new and is so smooth to drive - its always been serviced by toyota dealership every 7,500kms. Very happy with purchase - and extra grunt with the v6 is always handy. Only complaint i have with the camry is the engine sounds a little "tinny-pingy". Asked toyota about it and they said camry engines are naturally like that. what's "tinny-pingy" sound like?? anyway, i'd go with the V6 :)
  19. Hope to see some pics soon ! :P
  20. I have a 4cyc..the last time i paid thru toyota was around $200 for a 75000k service :)

Yeah I do, i live in robertson Might see you around.. oh haha kool~ yeah mite cya around =) your name wouldnt happen to be george by any chance would it? No ..
  22. well certain cars do have more glare than others - yours seem to be on the better side (but you can still see some glare spots above the cutoff point) and also the hot spots.. Just thinking logically, a halogen bulb were designed to fit in your headlight projector- and now you put in a rebased HID bulb, the optics of it is different so obviously its not used as it is intended....but there's nothing stopping you :) Just FYI, This is a real HID
  23. I don't agree with that^ The HID headlight has different lens and projectors. Therefore putting a HID bulb inside a halogen projector = glare... Just because it is projector headlights does not mean a HID should fit in there.. (but then a lot of ppl do!! annoys ppl on the road!!)

  25. This is a OEM genuine one :P but it only accepts D2S bulbs The only site i know that sells rebased genuine ballasts is xenondepot - btw they are expensive.. http://www.xenondepot.com/
