    My ZR6!

Why does that street look very familiar!?? - is it in macgregor?? anyway nice clean car :)
  2. If its halogen and white you'll have no problems at all with the cops ..
  3. For me (2.4L) its about 11-12L ...Definitely around 10 for highway driving :)
  4. wow, i wonder what caused the blue smoke..
  5. surely a good car for the future (minus the KW ofcourse) but does anyone have any idea on the maintenance cost of running cars?
  6. I believe we have discussed this - From my memory: No point to have HID on the high beam because HID takes time to get full "power" which is no good, the life would be very short. BH Yeah i agree with that, i once had it installed myself, but it really doesn't work when you flash, since it needs time to warm up. Another thing is, when you use HID to flash, its really bad for the bulb and ballasts as it shortens its lifespan. So if you want to make the high beams look better, just get some white globes to match the HIDs.
  7. I would recommend a proper wiring harness. but most people don't bother and result in burnt wires due to the transient high current draw when the HIDs are ignited. a example schematic would be something like this so you see that the power to power the HID is directly from the battery and the stock wires are just used to trigger the turning On of the headlights.
  8. with ur Rear neons for the hatch , open ur light thats in the back, figure out what wire is what and then run it off that, iv got 2 24" blue neons running off the 1 light hope it gives u a little idea Can someone please give me an idea please, I need to know how to power all the neons Looking towards the D_Ice man for some advice :D Get a multimeter, measure the amp draw for all of them to power up, i'm sure they don't require a separate power direct from the battery... with regards to the powering of them, you have a few options, you can find the 12V wire behind the cig plug (which should be always ON), and find the + and - wire. Simply wire them parallel with a soldering iron/solder and some wires and you're set. Make you you buy the correct gauge wire depending on the amps. For the rear boot, just use the stock bulb wiring, i'm sure those filament bulbs draw way more power than your LEDs. hope this helps.
  9. From my experience, if you want reliability, you should get genuine ballasts/bulbs. So these are brands like philips/hella, densos (from toyota/lexus), bosch, Matsu****a etc.. but most of them will only fit D2S bulbs which are OEM bulbs. To fit a kit, i know xenondepot have rebased philips ultinon bulbs (6k) with genuine gen4 hella ballasts.. http://www.xenondepot.com/category.php?category_id=1 and lastly, IMO, everyone who puts in a kit should check if there is excessive glare, since these projectors weren't made for HIDs...i Here are a set of gen3 hella OEM ballast.
  10. hmm why is there an non-kluger looking car in the first image? anyway nice buy! :)
  11. Maybe you really did get a dud .. but i must say that in comparison to euro cars, i'd prefer a toyota (or generally jap cars) for reliability. We have a VW passat car (2001), not too old but there's engine, radiator and then there's oil pump problems, and the service/repair costs are so high that I sometimes feel its so not worth it...

    Odo readings

Got it at end of 03 new, now its 84K...
  13. i thought the Kappa rims from the dealer looked the best for the aurion..
  14. woah way low, nice! Bit too low for practicality though.. (imo, i think the rear is somewhat too low in comparison to the front......) anyway Out of interest, what's your max and min height settings? and how much was the whole setup w/o install?
  15. maybe the user manual would tell you
  16. Yeah plug and play is easy, and its also easy to put glare to other people even if you adjust it to the lowest point. ADDITIONALLY, you're putting yourself in danger because the light is scattered everywhere and not on the road therefore you're hindering your night view on the road. No harsh feelings here i have a corolla too you know
  17. what does it look like inside the transformer? or inverter? and if door sills are LEDs, it should be just a volt reg..
  18. Thought i'd share this.. replaced the stock single green bulb with arrays of LEDs.
  19. not really, maybe when the car engine is off....
  20. I believe that not all OEM HIDs have auto-leveling....but they all do have headlight washers! Might be difficult to make an headlight washer ..
  21. Thanks - Looking around but could not find the cables. The spoiler covers >80% of the taillight anyway and looks not professional when both lights turn up at the same time. Will look closer this weekend. Again, many thanks BH It should be behind some kind of carpet/fabric type material. There should be tabs you need to pull off before you access the tail lights......
  22. It'll first burn the wires....not so sure about the lens as they're not that close. 100W will work if you had a heavy-duty relay harness installed.
  23. Looks like you can open a workshop (just kidding). My small problem is I want to stop the stop lights at the back because I've already have lights from the spoiler. I don't have much time therefore I have to wait for the first service (and they may charge for it). I also wish to know more about the car. In short, my query: how can I stop the stop light at the back (even I have to cut the cable) ? BH You can easily remove the wiring harness connected to the tail lights... on a side note, i think removing that would be a bit dangerous...since people will expect to see you break with the taillight turning on at the right spot and not necessarily on the spoiler...
