its annoying that im so busy too :(... the night of our little silvers thing i am having a night out with my work mates... so i will only be able to hang out with you for the daytime...

hey, i dont know too much about OBD-II.. i've been researching to work out what i can get with my carputer.. i know that every car built after 1996 has an OBD-II socket thingo... im not sure where it is in the ae112, but in the zze series, its located on the right side of the drivers side footwell, very near the bonnet release lever... now as far as OBD-II scanners go, you'll need to get 1 of 3 different protocols... its like ISO something, and the other 2 are SAE something... toyota use the ISO protocol... hang on ill get the actual code... ok toyota use ISO 9141 circuitry as far as i can see on this page: http://www.obdii.com/background.html as far as places to get an OBD-II scanner, ebay is a good place to start... they have heaps of scanners that will just show you the engine warning code, and then there's billions of websites you can check what the code means... otherwise you can get an OBD-II serial cable thing that you can plug into your laptop and it will give you real time engine warning and probbaly what they mean and other fancy things... not sure of prices but check ebay - its generally the cheapest...

mish you gotta stop thinking about cooking! im working on the lemon, as usual... got a new centre console thing from a corona and a.. sigma? lol i dunno went to pick and payless and found 2 bits that would fit and we're sticking em together and bolting them in... actually looks pretty good - better than stock... and now there's room for our head unit and gauges and switches!! :D

ergh i gotta go to work at 1... im so over working in a shopping centre... there's no natural light... you go in, its light. you come out, its dark. :( i kinda want an outdoors job, but that would usually involve physical effort... or at least a job where i can see the sun :P

ill be there - dunno if ill run yet... gotta see how the finances hold up i guess... im pretty sure i have a leak at the end of my extractors - so when i get that fixed up ill see what i have left... should get that done next week... so annoyed about that though - they installed it and said 'there was a bit of a leak at the ball joint, but we're pretty sure we've fixed it.. if there's a problem bring it back and we'll fit a new ball joint in' .. so... i took it back, and now they want me to supply the ball joint (where am i going to get that from?) and they will charge me $150 or so to fit it cos everything's gotta come off again! :(

and that's what its all about here - letting it out.. here's my rant: WHY IS IT THAT I CAN HAVE A TOOL IN MY HAND, PUT IT DOWN FOR 3 SECONDS, AND THEN NOT BE ABLE TO FIND IT FOR A WEEK... ive experienced too much of this lately... actually it doesnt bother me that much, cos its not like it happens all the time... its just ridiculous... how is everyone today?

niiiccceeee - will have to try that sometime! what's everyone been up to today? im STILL working on my lemon... its ALMOST back together!! just adjusting the brakes and getting the wheels better aligned... it will have to be taken to the shop for a real alignment tomorrow... first $ i would have spent on services for this car...

can i have your laptop then? :P nah whereis does a decent job of maps, im just not on the computer for long enough to update them... im hoping tonight if i have the hairy lemon back in one piece, ill have time to sit down and redo the maps and upload them onto here...

i cleaned mine for the first time over the weekend - if you look at the diode thing, its got a kinda clear amber colour to it, and you can see whatever it is inside the diode... well one side was amber, the other side was black and dusty... so cleaning it made it look better... i reset my ECU at the same time, but i hit the rev limiter and thrown everything out of whack, so ill reset again and let you know... i bought contact cleaner from ***** smith - $12.95 per can...

yeah man everyone's invited - should be a terrific day! list updated :) maps will be updated when i get round to it... but for now just look at the directions to see which way we're going...
