  1. It's the good ol' 1ZZ (1.8) & 3ZZ (1.6), but it's tuned to accept E20 in Thailand. I wished the Southeast Asian markets got the the 2ZR & 3ZR though. I'm not sure what they stand for, but G is like the luxury spec model. Toyotas sold in the south east Asian/ Taiwanese markets followed the same way grades are named in JDM land since 2000/ 2001. :) Other grade names used by Toyota Thailand, for it's range of carss; Q (Ultra Luxury-spec, above V.) V (Luxury-spec, above G.) S (Sports/ Base, depending on the model.) G (Luxury/ Base, depending on the model.) E (Economy (Mid-range/ Base) spec) J (Basic grade. used on the Vios, Yaris, Avanza & Corolla Altis 1.6)
  2. 1.8G Interior (The Optitron gauges are different from the Aussie/ Euro Sedan. I prefer the Tricolor Optitron Gauges from the 2001 Altis though, they should've brought it back for this model.) Next Post: Altis 1.6E fitted with genuine accessories
  3. Went to the last day of their public display (1st - 3rd Feb.). And took some pics.... Enjoy! Corolla Altis 1.8G (Range topper- HID, Auto Climate Control, wood trim, powered driver's seat & 16 inch alloys.) Altis 1.8G Scuff Plate (Not blue, that's the protective cover.). Altis 1.8G rear cup holder wood trim panel. Next Post: Altis 1.8G interior pics.
  4. you mean guys always having their hand on their stick? Ewww...... uhh... LOL Back to the topic, I'm on an Auto-only license. Even with an Auto tranny, my car feels pretty fast (But I'll blame my lead foot on that.). Never driven a Manual before, so I'm not sure how it works (Or how to use it.).
  5. Thanks for the advice guys, will inform my friend about those two models. TF PS: I tried to get him to join TOCAU (Has a Camry Sportivo, but I think he's a little shy... )
  6. Any radar detector experts in here? I'd like to find out for a friend, where can he buy one & if there are any recommended brands? Thanks, TF
  7. There's also one thing the Wheels author didn't take into consideration. Vehicles like SUVs & minivans have a higher centre of gravity. So the same thing could happen to a Ford Territory, Holden Captiva, Toyota Previa or a RAV4 in the same situation. This is also proof that driving aids like ESP/ VSC/ DSC wouldn't make us invincible (Why the Aussie government want to make it compulsory just beats me. I'd rather have proper driver training, as that will be more useful.).
  8. Inside. When it was still brand new.
  9. Our other Toyota back home. Factory-spec HID!
  10. Night time pics (Sorry about them being blur. I forgot my tripod (As in the one to hold my camera, not that other "thing". ).) Had to edit out the white scrape on the front left tire lol. Came into contact with the the bricks laid on the side on my own drive way.
  11. This is my current (And first car.). Still stock at the moment. PS: It seems that I'm the only member with a RAV4.2 in here. I feel so lonely...... :(

  13. Yikes, so just companies taking advantage of the water restrictions. Didn't know they'll cause scratches too! Looks like I'll stick to good ol' washing & waxing (Ummm..... no. Not that kind of waxing!:P). TF

  16. As mentioned by kolourhero & Saiya, the most important thing is that you made it out alive, something that is precious & irreplaceable. Get well soon!

  18. I rememeber seeing thse Waterless car wash kits while shopping for stuff at Bunnings. I also discovered that Meguiars sell them in SuperCheap Autos, but they're expensive. :( Anyone have experience with those? Just as good as doing it the normal way, better, or not that effective? Thanks, TF
