  2. Kool. If I was going on my own, I would go the non-stop route, but that's just me. Keep me posted with the plans of what's happening and I will be glad to travel in a (small) group if you guys are fine.
  3. I am back in Brisbane after my work from Coffs Harbour this Friday. I will be heading to Darwin on Monday. Maybe this was just made to be, LOL. that'a boy! just let us no when ur home on friday mate Well the network is completely up and running here, and we just need to test every room. Should easily take a maximum of two days, so I should be out of here by Thursday. Just keep planning as normal cause I'm about 95% sure I can make it at any time after 2pm on Friday (gotta have time to detail the car you know, LOL).
  4. Sorry, I've been so busy with work here that I haven't had the opportunity to catch up on what is going on. I wasn't aware of Corey driving down as well. I am good with a non-stop drive, but if others are doing it, I wouldn't mind travelling at the same pace if that is what others are willing to do.

  6. Just my addition... I will be going to the National Meet 2009 in Melbourne, and I WILL be driving. As of now, it's only me in the car so I'd be glad to carry some extras (preferably a maximum of 3 more). Would also help to keep me awake for a bit. I primarily plan to drive it in one go (with the exception of meal stops etc) as I have driven Cairns to Brisbane non-stop in the past and have no issues there. If you need a lift, just let me know... so long as you are willing to nap in the car or something if you can't keep awake. My car travels up to about 800km per tank on highway driving, so that can help factor costs (though that is with just me in the car).
  7. Man, I'd drive a DeLorean even if it were fully kitted out in retro neons. LED's would stuff the look up. On topic though; the LED valve caps will be completely illegal as they have the potential to distract other road users. I can't believe how some people actually consider such an idea though. Seriously, do some people think that a ring of light around their wheels looks cool?
  8. Nice car there mate. Definitely looks better in person. Good photography skills as well. I wish I could take photos like that. Michael was it? Sorry I'm not the best when it comes to names.
  9. Yeah, that can happen as well. Lucky for us though, the Aurion has LED brake lights, so we should never need it for that reason.
  10. No joke... this guy was too good for us when I was studying... LOL.
  11. Wow. Selling the Beast... so sad. Thanks man for your help. Without you, I probably wouldn't have a mesh grill yet. I must say that a roadster or any 2-door hardtop sports car would suit you better though. Definitely the way to go for you man.
  12. Most new automatics prevent you from shifting out of 'Park' unless your ignition is in the 'ON' position and you foot is on the brake. The 'Shift Lock Override' allows you to shift out of 'Park' at any time (even with the ignition off and your foot is off the brake), in the event that your battery is dead or you don't have your key.
  13. Dave, Any idea who "told you" My Aurion suffered this problem, and after much denial from the service department of Cannon Toyota ("we can't fault the car," they kept telling us), agreed to send it to Gary McMillan Toyota, who apparently do transmission for Toyota, to investigate. Before it even left Cannon Toyota, I received a phone call telling me that Gary McMillan were just going to replace the transmission outright!! I kid you not! That smacks of a "known issue" for sure, no way they would just replace a trannie just because I rang up and asked nicely! ...interesting Well the problem is known by Toyota USA in regards to their V6 Camry which uses the same gearbox. They even have a TSB in regards to it. It's not specifically Australia, but the problem does exist on the U660E gearbox.
  14. Unfortunately it is not an MPS though. It isn't even an SP23. The MPS has more black trim on the rear bumper and a larger exhaust, and the SP23 has a longer section of the rear bumper that extends from where the boot lid sits. This is just a plain 'ol Mazda 3. Big FAIL.
  15. I do agree that this thread has gone pretty far off course, but I also agree that this thread was stuffed from the beginning. We could all easily tell how sketra would post in this thread from past experiences, and the end result of her posting led to this. Her rude and inconsiderate posting is to blame for this, and not the responses from everyone else. If she posted decently in the first place, no one would have the need to have a go at her in return. You can't expect to have a go at someone or everyone and have them be really kind to you in return. This is not a service, but a public discussion. We can say what we want in return. If we feel offended, we don't need to keep quiet. It's like saying that we as the forum are the fuel. If you post responsibly, everything will go fine. If you provide an ignition source though, expect something heated in return. She had it coming. I have absolutely no sympathy for her, and I don't give consideration for those that think that everything we have said in return is too harsh.
  16. All good. Didn't know much about it in the first place. Was just curious to see whether it turned out good or bad. Karma hey... post crap, get crap in return.
  17. Nah, I never found out eh. The car was 'parked' there for a good 8 hours or so, which was great entertainment for many drivers.
  18. That statement doesn't surprise me when said by you. Re-phase: Men don't understand people like you. Just keep pointing the finger. Whatever makes you feel good. Just don't complain about your life problems here and expect some sort of sympathy.
  19. I love pancakes and maple syrup. Though with the situation at present, popcorn and Coke would suit best.
  20. Yes, dual VVT-i means that both the intake and exhaust camshafts are adjustable. However, under stock conditions you will never really notice when VVT-i is doing it's work or as you said, when it 'kicks in'. VVTL-i is a completely different story when it comes to noticing a difference.
  21. I'm still happy with my unit. Has been working just like it did on day one. Does everything I need for now, so no reason not to like it. I'm not sure if they have any updated maps with the units sold now. It only comes with Route 66 and Finean which I find pretty basic and boring, so updated maps wouldn't really be that useful. It's always easy to download purchase alternative software with newer maps though.
  22. I'm good, but only if the design is already made. I'm not so creative at coming up with fancy designs. I'd help you out, but I'm a bit of a distance away, LOL.
  23. I've had a few cases after getting my tires changed, the shop has pumped the tires up high. Always noticed it because of the floaty feel. That's good that it is now feeling a bit more stable for you. As for the tint, that haze will disappear after a short time so nothing to worry about. It's because they have the glass wet when they apply it as it helps to get rid of air bubbles.
  24. Thanks heaps darryl. So is the bracket bit that he put the camera into already there? And how would I take the squre plug bit out? Also how would I do the reverse gear activated camera? Just hack into the reverse light wire or no? That little black plate is already there, you just need to hack at it as shown. To take it all out, you take off the boot lid liner and then you will be able to see two nuts up in the centre section. You just get a 10mm socket or spanner and loosen them, and that section will come out. As for the reverse 12 volt line, you just tap into the reverse light. That is the easiest option. I tapped mine from the front passenger kick panel. It is the red wire with the silver dot on it:
  25. Please clarify badge (meaning Toyota badge only) or the entire grill. Remember, mine has a Pre-cash safty feature requiring a different grill. I'm pretty sure he meant this one:
