  1. That certainly was quite a late meet. Haven't had one of those in a while. Side note, interesting how we smelt something burning earlier on in the night. Probably unrelated, but funny (figure of speech) about the coincidence but when I drove home. Around 12:15am they had a few fire trucks and cops out blocking the intersection on Milton Road and Grimes Street, Auchenflower. The fire was out, but it appeared that some place had caught alight.
  2. Not exactly. The Sportivo and TRD have a darker shade of red (which I suspect is inside tiniting of the chrome... thanks Steven) for the tailights and the headlights have a tinted chrome internal. This makes them both appear darker. So you will in fact have mismatched lights if you don't change all of them if going between grades. In terms of the OP's question, the physical size and dimensions are the same though. Edit: I happen to have a left side tail light for a pre-facelift Sportivo BTW. It means a bit to me however, but I guess I may be able to part with it.
  3. Well count me out then. Nah... just kiddin' bro. Keen to see your new ride.

    1) His location was out of the field of view of the camera, 2) The drive to Coolum earlier that day filled my memory card up and it didn't recycle.
  5. I never said RWD. That's just pushing the envelope further. A direct auto to manual conversion though while keeping it FWD would be quite feasible.

So that was you waiting on the hill at the intersection of Gympie Road and Darwin Street? I was staring at your car trying to think whether it was a Presara or not because of the HID's. They seemed a little too blue for stock, so I gathered it wasn't, then as you turned right I looked closely for the headlight washers to see if it was one or not. I was quite zoned out, so I don't know why I really wondered whether it was a Presara or not. If that wasn't you... well, oops. I was like, WTF would there be a thread for me for and at 2 pages already. I knew it wasn't inbox related because I re-enabled my PM inbox not too long ago. For some reason it stopped working, so it's back to normal now then. I have had like 1% spare time over the last weeks. FML. Man, I leave you guys alone for some hours and look what happens . Post boosting FTW.
  7. Well Ima be there from 8ish and if you guys are uber lame, I'll bail.
  8. For $10k, I'm fairly sure you could do a manual conversion. Mind you, there would be a bit of DIY, so less labour costs, but still. Just saying'.
  9. Rear sway bar/front strut brace. .... that and "trading" in for a TRD.
  10. Brenndan and I have been pretty busy lately. I will work on making a draft itinerary based on what we have discussed and will put it up shortly.
  11. Spotted this facelift cop Aurion (amongst a few) today around 4:30pm at the intersection of Gympie and Rode Road. Unlucky day for that Lancer. There were a total of 7 cop cars there and a whole bunch of cops standing around checking out the accident.

I don't have access to the Admin CP now and Steve hasn't had the time yet to fix that up for me. If and when he does, I will get this all sorted and the ball rolling.
  13. You better learn now before you start thinking of other ideas: vvti - when does yours kick in AutoSpeed - Variable Valve Timing Yeah... I think it would be pretty cool if I had shoes that glow bright red when I'm doing sprints during my interval training <_<
  14. Well: - You can lodge a claim. If the other party is at fault you can lodge a claim with your insurance company to sort this out. You would not be out of pocket and your car gets fixed up. - If the damage would cost less than what the other party's excess is (which it sounds like it is), then you can mutually agree for the other person to pay for the repairs to your car and this will save them paying an excess and affecting their no-claims discount/bonus/rating if applicable. - Leave it... but why would you when you have reason to get it fixed regardless of how minor. Only thing with option 2 is making sure they pay for the repair. You can initially get them to agree with the repair based on what I mentioned above saying that if they don't choose this option, you will lodge a claim instead. However, the moment you take this option, you are no longer involving the insurance company and if they don't pay, you can't simply just lodge a claim. If it is a good friend though and you are doing this to save them hassle, then there is nothing wrong with this option.
  15. I'll reserve my thoughts on the purpose of doing this because you all know what I'm thinking but I'll provide advice anyways. There are two ways you could approach this: 1) Wire up a circuit in parallel with the accelerator so that when you are WOT, it triggers the circuit and illuminates LED's that you mount in the dash cluster. 2) Wire up a circuit that reads the tacho input to the dash cluster so that when the required RPM value is reached, it will trigger LED's you have mounted in the cluster. I'm not going to go in detail on how to make such a circuit, but it wouldn't be hard to find details on how to make something. Hint, if going option 1, the "2GR-FE_Engine_Control_System.pdf" service manual will help you in designing a circuit. Just remember that this circuit has to be isolated from the Accelerator control circuit otherwise it could potentially lead to false accelerator inputs.
  16. A lot of these things though, one would normally have right to be annoyed at, thus not really following the point of the thread. One thing that annoys me more than it should is that.
  17. Depends on the seriousness of the fall. It it looks like she can pick her self up straight away and carry on, then I would do nothing. All depends on the situation at hand.
  18. Well have to give him credit for trying at least. I would have got horizontal and that's about it.
  19. Serious? On the Aurion/Camry, the clip itself is rather hard to remove from the floor, and the way it hooks into the mat makes it pretty much never come loose... but also makes it annoying sometimes to unclip. You would think that all it takes is the idea of using the same eyelet and clips on all models which would probably also save costs. Here are a few of mine Dee: - Stacking dirty dishes. I never use the dishwasher and when you stack dirty dishes, you have to wash both sides with nearly equally as much effort. - Sitting in a movie and having someone next to you whistle unintentionally as they breathe. - On the topic of movies, those that laugh every second or take out their mobile and put a bright spot in your peripherals. - People on the highway that can't keep a relatively equal position in their lane. When driving down a long highway, I tend to subconsciously follow their movement as they edge towards the line.
  20. Sure do... using my hands only. With just enough fingernail, you can grip it with enough force to be able to pull it out. Done it numerous times without a single mark.
  21. Spotted Ray89 along North Quay at 8:50am this morning. I waved too late.
  22. Welcome mate. Would you be able to explain what difficulties you have come across. Feedback is welcome so that we can try to improve the place.
  23. The same way that Mick went around the swear filter. I was not a mod at the time, so I was posting on similar grounds. Besides, p***ed off isn't technically swearing. But anyways, swearing rules are not being enforced.
