  1. You mean this 'space saver'? Still a Camry 17x7 alloy:
  2. Today I did my routine 10,000km oil change and while I was at it, I did a front to rear wheel rotation. In the process I gave the car a sparking clean as well as the wheels since I had them off. Fitting the front drivers side wheel though is when shit hit the fan and the neighbours would have overheard quite a bit of profanity. Set the torque wrench to 76Nm like I am meant to, and then this: Sigh... stupid weak piece of s*** wheel stud.
  3. I don't think this is happening anymore.
  4. Before saying the alternator is stuffed, I would be having a look to see if the carbon brushes are worn. If they are, it can be a really cheap fix.
  5. Fuck oath it is. Makes me hate my car more and more every time I hear it. That was Northy by the way. Nearly everyone stands back and observes the atmosphere the first time around. Next time feel free to ask questions about our cars etc. We're always open to answer questions. Just gotta ask them.
  6. You say that now, but you seriously need to think more long term. If you give yourself just 'a bit more power' you will find yourself later down the track wanting more than what you got. Then you realise that if you want more power, it will set you back more than what it would have cost to do it right in the first place.
  7. How good are you with your hands? http://www.techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/mfd/ Even happens on other units (this was actually how I remembered the above link): Kluger 2003 Grande Navigation System Fault
  8. Indeed it did. Shouldn't have bought that damn TRD. A bit more planning should have been made prior to that purchase. Works well when you don't get positive and negative back to front as well
  9. And I walked out of that meet with $130 less in my account. Seeing/hearing the V8 balanced out any thoughts about it though.
  10. Don't waste your money on it. I've read about some guy that tested this and got a lower dyno reading than stock, and I've seen the exact same thing happen on an Aurion.
  11. The standard 17's will fit over the TRD brakes. So much so, the spare wheel in the TRD is a 17 inch Camry wheel.
  12. Those plugs should always stay in. Water shouldn't get into the boot in the first place like that. Sounds like your boot seal is stuffed. This has been known to occur on these cars though. People here have discussed it before.
  13. Spotted at the end of my street this morning at about 8:30am... a blue P-Plater Yaris that had seen better days: Nice way to start your day. It was actually a double spotted because funnily enough, it was t-boned by a Prius.
  14. What makes me sad is hearing comments about how good the RSB is when you don't know just how good it really is.
  15. Sounds good. I'm looking forward to seeing the FridgMobile.

Stop making posts about this mate. You still need to comply to the Buy and Sell Rules.
  17. No need to sift through pages. All that is needed is a search for 'SINGLE DIN' and had a look at all the head unit related threads, which there were only 4 or 5 of them. These two are relevant: my new deck Quick Question about facia kit
  18. Plus add to the fact that even if you could install it in an hour working at 90% of your capacity, at the end of the day, they aren't going to over work themselves if they don't have to. Not saying anyone is lazy, but just being realistic.
  19. You've seen me drive. I'm surprised the wheels are still attached.
  20. I'm still surprised at how relatively rattle free my TRD still is after 62,000km/3.5 years. Compared to my last Aurion that was making noises from as low as 25,000km, this TRD is really quiet.
  21. Having just come back from seeing it, if you haven't yet watched it, I would highly recommend spending the money to watch 'Tangled' in 3D at the cinema. With the massive advancements in computer animation, combined with the quality of digital projection (thank you Texas Instruments), and the addition of cinematic 3D (thanks to RealD) has resulted in animation of such a high quality that it just so hard to describe. The cinema experience is just not the same anymore. Because of all this, this would be the only way I would ever recommend watching animation. It's funny how I love digital projection so much considering that once upon a time, I actually didn't like the idea because I preferred the 'feel' of film. Once you experience animation on digital projection though, there's just no argument.
  22. That orange coloured TRD filter that looks just like the OEM one.... sweet f*** all. Complete waste of money. The cotton gauze oiled type TRD panel filter (like the K&N one).... I wouldn't be getting it hoping to get a gain out of it. About the only benefit I see/saw from it is the re-useably of it.
  23. Sounds like he got one of those generic Asian phones. They all run the same software as those knock-off copy phones from China.
