  1. Clean it with some water with a little bit of dish-washing detergent mixed in. This will help strip the oils off it. I would highly suggest going over it again though with a low gloss dash protector like Meguiar's Gold Class Dash & Trim Foam Protectant. Otherwise, polarised sunglasses make a huge difference.
  2. Let me quess... you like chilling out watching online movies? I imagine you are not going to be treated as nicely as you hope.
  3. I wouldn't really call the torque/power curve an 'issue' when you realistically think about it. Put it this way. For when the engine was used, the comparative Holden/Ford 6-cylinder engines were putting out close to the same amount of power/torque as the 2GR-FE, however their peak torque was achieved from quite low revs. Notice that the fuel consumption for these cars were also higher. I reckon by keeping the peak torque a little higher like they have means that for your day to day cruising where you aren't going to be using all that torque, you end up being more fuel efficient. I'm no expert on the subject of physics and how it all ties together, but I see it that way.
  4. Umm.... you mean November right?
  5. Any plans on what you will get to replace the Fozzy Andrew? Well, you will still be the one from the forum here that was first to crack open their Aurion headlights to paint them black.
  6. Not me. End of year meets are too quite for me to consider coming out. You should have come out the last time you thought about it See you guys in 2011.
  7. Not on it's own as far as I'm aware. The compression ratio of the engine remains the same before the S/C is added. I personally think the power-to-weight of the TRD is more what the normal Aurion's should have been in the first place (a 2GR-FSE would have been a better engine), as it is just the right power to manage the weight that it has without extra load.
  8. It's pretty easy to get figures like that when you have only travelled a short distance after filling up. The gauge isn't particularly accurate at that point.
  9. Press the MODE button until your overspeed setting is not showing on the display. Then when it is just showing the clock only, hold the MODE button down for a few seconds. You can now set the clock. While the digits are flashing, a quick press of the MODE button switches between hours and minutes.
  10. That is true, but you also need to consider the fact that the model is now basically 9 years old, so whatever spare parts were available, may now be more limited.
  11. Don't know about you guys, but I LOL'ed:
  12. A few from me today:
  13. Did someone say Rum and Coke. It's party time.
  14. There is a difference between properly driving it hard and thrashing. From the sounds of it, I'm hearing more of the latter.
  15. It's something which can be put inside an Aurion (or most cars for that matter) to provide an extra boost.... ......... in quenching your thirst. Seriously... go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VVT-i#VVTL-i
  16. The M1 is uber bouncy on the concrete sections.
  17. Four responses I can think of: 1) private number 2) ROB219 3) INDOMI 4) Toyota Nation
  18. Well, not quite what the topic states, but this deserves to go here because this guy as well has some large nuts. Found thanks to Anthony: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYCdCarwnbI
  19. Regardless of what crap car you purchased (:P) at least it's another +1 to the QLD N/A -> F/I crew (or just F/I crew). So roll call: 1) DJKOR 2) mick.wheelz 3) Andrew357 4) STYLSH 5) SecaBoy 6) oodee 7) Northy (close to) 8) ELEGNT 9) matt-starlet 10) michaelweare 11) Evo7 12) trentmeyer23 (soonish?) 20. Oh wells. I guess there is no love for those of us still in town. See everyone in the new year I spose.
  21. Welcome mate. What's your PB over at WSID.
  22. Good to hear (in the broad view of everything) that your Aurion was written off. So thinking of changing ship?
  23. I guess the topic is always going to remain open for discussion, but I am fairly confident that the issue was a design flaw on my last Sportivo. It always had a pull to the left issue even when driven on what I thought was a fairly level surface and along the centre-line of a two lane road (which you would imagine to be opposite camber on each side to balance it out). Regardless, I found the fitment of the offset castor bushes to fix the issue and not just over-compensating for an issue that isn't really there. Each to their own.
  24. Works for me. I am flexible, so I'll let you guys decide.
  25. haha, well if there was a drooling emoticon I'd be keen to see pics and here how it affects day to day driving (ie. driveways) because the TRD kit is quite low hanging as it is.
