  1. There is nothing wrong with the stock power output, it is not a slow car by any means. But there is no real way to extract any more power without forced induction.
  2. All it is, is a bog stock Touring with some crappy eBay parts, there has been no "tune up" done.
  3. Fake badges and have you actually touched the brakes? They are likely plastic/aluminium covers. Don't touch them after driving, they will be hot.
  4. Get video of what it is doing it, when it is doing it. You can then provide that to Toyota.
  5. To be honest, driving less can be more detrimental, as seals and gaskets harden and leak. I have personally seen new vehicles with less than 5,000km after 2-3 years leaking everywhere.
  6. I have, but that was on non factory exhausts, so the location may be different.
  7. Secure it with tape, zipties, etc. and take it for a drive to confirm it is the issue.
  8. Is the fluid full? Any leaks? If you have no idea what you are doing, take it to an automatic transmission specialist.
  9. They are slow because they are an elephant at nearly 2 tonnes(kerb weight).
  10. Just do whatever you want. It's your vehicle after all.
  11. Don't take it to a mechanic, take it to a panel repair shop. $3000 isn't that ridiculous to be honest. You will have a fair bit of trouble getting one from a wreckers. In summary: 1. He would have been asking, as it may be cheaper to go through insurance, rather than pay from your pocket. 2. Panel repair shop. 3. Likely have to replace with OEM new/used. 4. The TRD Aurion has minimal aftermarket parts available.
  12. I used to hate the auto function, but I use it all the time now, set and forget.
  13. Check out Google, it has been done many times before, there a heaps of different builds. It will depend on how you want to do it. Anything is possible, it just depends on your budget. There are even pre-made engine mounts that you can buy for some models. ***EDIT: One thread per subject is enough, your other one asking the same question has been removed.***
  14. Please go back and edit your previous posts and fix those photos as well.
  15. Scott, I think you should try get it completely sorted, would be pretty awesome.
  16. It will depend on the sound, but I would doubt the hydraulic tensioner would over tighten the belt. It's hard to judge without inpecting it personally. Generally the issue lies with old unchanged parts as the newer parts add more stress on them, due to not having as much slack in them.
  17. It may not even be those things. Oil pump can be done with the engine in the car. It's not fun, but it can be done.
  18. No water pump is a bad idea. It could be that, it could be the oil pump as well.
  19. Engine based stuff may. Most other things will not.
  20. Should be a heap of photos on google images. Search for Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ or Scion FR-S, you should find something you like.
