See what the Pulsar owners are saying
justin_es replied to oz_viking's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
ok now im not trying to bring up any old arguments but there is one thing that i might like ot point out just for the sake of it i read a while back about a guy frm some country saying to launch in LIFT and its the best way to do it now all or most of you guys were giving it to him so hard i havent seen a post from him in a while lol anyways if weiwei launches at 5500 and says the same thing as this other guy said get it right and you take off hard and fast its got me thinking that maybe a launch at higher revs might be possible too so maybe this bloke wasnt pulling our centre leg after all anyways i have no experience as my highest launch was at 4500 but i was trying to lose traction so i cant really say either way LOL anyways of all people im sure AZZA will remember cus i thougt he was gonna get the next flight over to kick his ***** they were at it hard verbally lol just thought i would bring that up agian cheers :D -

ok hold on a minute 1 guy said our ratios are **** im certain they would be quicker than theres sometimes i take off in second cus 1st gear is damn quick im sick of changing into second all the time in traffic lol and another homo said they would be better with the celica gearbox and motor i could be wrong but i thought thats exactly what we got in our little sportivos -

Zorst / CAI not that loud anymore?
justin_es replied to vitagen's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
my zorst when i got it put on was like 102 Db (90 Db being legal) only 2 weeks later it was only 92 Db wich i am happy about 1 cus it was too loud 2 i have a better chance at not getting defected depending if they wanna be pricks or not besides YES you would be getting used to the noise but exhaust pipes when new have NOTHING on the inside but after you drive them in it builds a layer of ?? CARBON ?? the black stuff and surprisingly it quiets down the zorst a hell of alot so theres your problem guys cheers EDIT and yes im sure the ECU retuning itself and making the car run better and smoother might help a little BUT it doesnt make your pipe work any smaller so it wouldnt make too much of a difference with the overall loudness unless it was running like a dog before the reset i reset my ECU after my zorst it definatly didnt make it sound ANY different but it went noticably harder wich i was very pleased with -
ROFL hehe brilliance is all i can say but whos corolla are we using im asumming yours northy seeing as though it was your idea lol i can do the driving if your too heart broken to watch lol
-
dude is that really your mobile number i would never post my mobile up LOL maybe you should hve PM some of the blokes you know or even me the organiser of that cruise not that you know me lol anyways mate i got a little PC scrap book your number is in so i'll let you nkow if i know of anything happening
-
lol i totally disagree with people taking things from other people cars but i guess taking it from a dealer isnt too bad cus there roughts and ripoffs anyways they have plenty of money for a new antenna anyways i checked out e-bay there are some pretty alright antennas you can get even just plain black ones that are 2.55" short for $8 US so thats not too bad i think i might buy 1
-
hmm i think i might do that 2 i know its not good for the car but im sure it wont hurt it too much if i only do it this once i just want to know exactly where it can go till empty just for personal reference so i only need to do it once besides once it starts coughing and farting ill turn her straight off i wont try to keep going that way it should help out a little bit with not hurting the motor
-
hey man i understand what your saying but for some topics like fuel things are always changing so i know i would rather hear what people have got to say NOW not read what people thought 6 months ago cus i know i always change my opinion on fuels depending on good experiences from certain servos now im not saying the search results were from 6 months ago i actually didnt check but i was just trying to get a point across
-
yeah im in for a day at wakefeild park oh the first half of the run may be 45 min but then theres the run over to the national park and so on it all adds up but also putty road would be a good run only problem is you race through it and once its all over you gotta turn around and come back through it to get home i know after the main cruise or run is over i like to just take it easy and get home slowly let the car sorta settle down if you like and i know going through the putty rd a second time would kinda bore me a little personlly i dont like TOO many corners i like some long fast straights too i travel that way to get to tennis comps its fun but it can get tiring quickly also gotta watch out for trucks and fallen trees and kangaroos around every corner lol but dont get me wrong its still a good run lol each to there own i guess
-
hey yeah that cruise i organised i was quite pleased with hey dylan that was a mountian run in the west and actually we didnt pass to far away from putty road either you still didnt come yeah i know you said you had a party to go to we can get another run happeing out that way again if you like
-
yeah its cool i totally understand what your saying :) but a good mechanic would admit to not knowing alot about certain motors he shoudlnt just throw in an opinion of he doesnt know about it so if he does that all too often then he isnt a good mechanic is he sure he can say hey it doesnt work on a honda from personal experience BUT like i said not all too familiar with the 2ZZ thats what he should of said
-
yeah but if you read what he said the mechanic told him CAI do nothing and neither does direct air ram its OBVIOUS hes wrong cus everyone is getting gains thats all im saying EDIT sorry the reply was to DANZ i was 1 post too slow

what a moron having DIRECT hair straight from bonnet STRAIGHT into the airbox would make HEAPS of differene all you would need is a K&N filter and keep your standard box gees this mechanic of yours dump him he sounds like a w a n k

awww disapointed i clicked on the link and the web page opened but nothing happened even after i let it go for like 30min dont suppose anyone knows what the go is maybe you could e-mail it to me 2zzge sportivo cheers
-
ok a previous post of mine is wrong i said i got just under 600km out of a tank thats wrong cus when i filled up it filled 49litres so i still had 11litres left so just under 700kms out of a tank is roughly what i would have got that uncludes the occasional race hehe and occasional foot to the floor cus i love the sound of the zorst and lift kicking in u just cant help myself cheers guys also i use caltex vortex
-
xGSiR if i went by what you said then my tank is only 55litres so unless my tank is the wrong tank size then i somhow dont think so BUT i was just wondering AZZA i filled up with the needle touching the top of the empty line so bottom of needle top of empty line how far down did you take it for it to fill up at 59 litres well im quite happy with that i got almost 600kms out of 50ltrs that i think is quite good and i know its not toyota but im sure i remember somone sayin there is roughly in a commodre like 3 or 4 litres of excess fuel meaning fuel lines, filter and whatever else makes up the fuel run
-
ok i could me wrong but to my understanding the sportivo fuel tank size is 60L and then there is all the fuel lines and what not so it should hold roughly 65L correct me if im wrong with anything anyways i drove till i thought i was pretty much empty the other day the needle was touching the empty line i went tot he servo and it only filled up 49L so i was kinda annoyed i did get 590km out of that tank but i could possibly get almost 700 if its the size its meant to be anyways any info from any body would be appreciated cheers guys
-
i have the sportivo he 2zz-ge and i get just under 600kms out of a tank and thats with taking it easy but still the occasional race as i couldnt help myself i have a manifold back exhaust system so that wouldnt help either
-
yeah i wouldnt mind hearing some opinions on fuel personally i dont like shell optimax i dont mind bp ultimate but i use caltex vortex thy claim to use injector cleaner in with ther 98 octane fuel BUT i know people who know fuel truck drivers and they say they do stops at all the fuel stations so they all technically use the same fuel anyways
-
lol well there you go small world hey well im not the only one that knows about it on this website yet hey lol i dont feel so special anymore :( :P :D
