just wondering what ppl round here listen to...

my fav station would have to be 96.1

the only truley dedicated urban music station

it pisses me off sumtimes due to its crappy reception :(

but yes... everytime im in sydney i never know what frequency to tune into so i always just stick with cd or iPod...

as soon as your on the freeway their pretty much all dead, so make sure you've got lots of cds or your mp3 player with you cause its a 8- 10 hour drive...........hehe :P

yea i remember when i went me n klara to newcastle to get her wheels... we got stuck with some baaad music... we neva tried the radio... i guess now i know why coz there's no reception hahaha... oh yea i forgot to mention newcastle was about the furthest i'v eva been out of sydney... hmmm :D

usually 96.1 in the mornings 4 the traffic...

til bout 4pm then its the arab comedian with sally from home and away on nova 96.9. whats his name? kerpal? habib? halal? far out whats his name... hes heaps funny.. AKMAL! just checked the nova website :P

at work its 2CH ALL THE WAY! thats eazy listening mfkers!

at night i surf.. usually end up on 99.9 for the local blacktown SWRFM... fobz play heaps good hiphop and their native music on there ay?! early sunday mornings they got BEAUTIFUL islander choir music... some other nights its some indian hiphop if you can imagine that.. not so bad :P.. other times its 2 chinese guys talkin stuff- i just imagine they are swapping recipes cos sometimes they use some canned laughter amongst the conversationz... hmmm... yea that SWR is a mixed bag :P

some fobs used to do the REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE SONG DEDICATIONZ on SWR... ppl call up n request something really sensitive like az yet - "last night" and the dj ends up singing it coz he doesnt have the cd... then goes n playing Shaggy mr.boombastic like that makes up 4 it LOL!

oh yea love song dedications on 106.5... i still cant get over that dj... soft 4ss voice and talkin bout love n relationshipz....his voice has always sounded heapz creepy if u ask me.

yeah akmal... what a sick c*nt... i love that guy... i sometimes go past my mom's work on the way back from work n get a lift home with her... n since her broken antenna doesn't help 96.1's reception we listen to 96.9 when akmal is on... damn that guy is funny... he's also on that ch10 show what's it called lol...

with a deck... i saw like a couple of weeks ago at JBHIFI an alpine deck for $500 with alpine typeS splits... i dunno if the sale is still on though... i forgot the model numba of the deck but a friend has it n he swears by it

i got this wierd thing that happens whenever i drive while listening to 96.1.

whenever i drive past this corner on my street, as well as on a road near my parents house... 96.1 goes all funny and i have INDIAN music hacking through my radio! i can only guess that the ppl living in the house i drive past have something screwed up with their satellite dish or something. not 100% sure its indian music... but sounds heaps like that bollywood music from when steve-o was dancing with those indian chicks in india on wildboyz

Nova 96.9, love it.... local Wollongong stations play music that has been out for 2 months and pass it off as "brand new", I gave Triple J a chance and ditched them when they kept playing a song by some chick who was convinced she was a rabbit and then changed her mind and said she was a fox, I don't mind some 96.1 stuff but there is such thing as too much urban I think, 2Day playlists seem to revolve around the tastes of young teenage girls. Of course inevitably Nova plays some of that as well but I like the 2-ad policy and I like Merrick and Rosso.

Most of my friends don't even bother with radio, can't say I blame them. MP3 is awesome :D

i see this poll is very one sided

i dont see ANY rock stations, old people radio or Triple J. Last time, I checked Triple J goes all over australia. Sure they play some "out there" stuff, but i prefer "out there" then ads. :D

BTW, I prefer WS-FM to any of the options givin. if your going to do a poll, make it fair hey!

I like triple J because train tracked music creates train tracked minds...

I'm a creative soul and like the freedom of expression that Triple J allows over the commercial stations.

Even better though was 3D community radio in Adelaide. They are great at promoting LOCAL talant. They played Hill Top Hoods, The Superjesus, The Mark of Cain... etc long before even Triple J did. ;)
