Hey everyone,

you may of heard about photo blocker?? yep thats right, thats when you are driving along just testin ya car out at 150km down a little street and the cops put a F*#$en speed camera down there... well apparntly theres a solution! lacquer... its legal threw a loop hole in the laws and it cant be detected unless you throw 300 watts from a camera flash at it!!

what i was gonna ask here was, anyone know a good brand to get? other then a varnish?

I have no idea but if you do find one let me know and i will be buying it straight away ;)

Good detective work :)

If anyone does decide to get it let me know if it does work or if it is just a money making scheme by one smart person that knows how to market things well

$83 for a can...? hmmm wonder if theres a cheaper solution at mitre 10?

With the MIN fine about $180 I think it's a bargain!!!!!!!! do the maths!!!

if you don't speed then you dont need this item ;)

Remember we are all conservative drivers here and only ever use 'lift' on the track or drag strip :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P: P: P

So what would happen if you sped past an unmarked copcar and he decides to chase your ***** in the latest SS, writes down your number plate and then send you to jail for trying to outrun him?

laquer might work for flash cameras, which are slowly getting replaced by other speed dedecting devices, so dont think this is the solution. The only solution is to keep to the limit, unless you live in the outback.

Most cameras do not use flashes anymore as technology has improved (In Victoria anyway) except for fixed cameras. But who would be game enought to test it I know I ain't putting my hand up......

yeah i found some on ebay thats only $25 AU

yeah yeah yea... dont speed... yeah yeah... under cover cop... yeah yeah, but if you didnt get the whole point... its for speed cameras with a flash... may save you afew bucks in the end... never know... might be just that one time...

I have heard about this product and so have the cops unfortunately. Apparently if you get close enough to the plates you can see the lacquer, and if a cop walks pass your car and sees it...dude, you are in deep trouble.

It is apparently Illegal in VIC to put this stuff over your number plate. Spoke to one of my fathers ex partners who is still in the police force and he said yes if they saw a car with it on you are in a lot of trouble compared to a speeding fine. Our parliament enacted new legislation not long after this & similiar products were launched to make it illegal. Do not know for other states.

And this stuff is not that hard to see either if you know what to look for. Apparently it flares when viewed from certain angles as well as when a cars headlights are directed on it.

In VIC if you put this on the car you are asking for some trouble

I believe this is now worth 9 points on your license in NSW if you are caught. Any device/substance that prevents speed cameras from working as per normal. So yeah.

if ya got the money to speed, then speeeed!

Can you buy someones life back these days?

Not that i NEVER speed... but geez, i don't go out of my way to get **** that will block photos/radars etc so i can deliberately speed.
