Hi,

Would changing the header alone on the 1ZZFE get much power/response gain?

If so, does anyone here have any recommendation as to where I can get one in Sydney?

The stock pipes from the header all the way to the cat seem pretty big.

Cheers,

Genie Headers make one for the 1ZZ, its around $300 installed. Check there web site for more information.

Sorry but what is the website to check it out? Im interested too, and only $300? Thats Aussie bucks right? I was under the strange impression they were more in the price of $1000

hey forolla.

i used to have a 1zz levin. i experiemented with exhaust. and found that with extractors, high flow cat, 2" 2 1/4" exhuast mandrel high flow resonator and rear muffler (this is a full lukey set up, except the extractors are hurricane). you will definately gain power. check out the gallery, i think i've posted up the dyno graph.

this whole system would be around $1200, fitted. If you want it, pls PM me.

Yes you will have a useful gain in low end torque.

The TRD headers are more expensive. Genie are quite good, I use them on my old car with the standard exhaust (83 commodore wagon - It's my towing Car!), good gain - no problems.

It's been mentioned in a previous thread, because the Genie headers are longer than the standard manifold, the section of exhaust leading to the cat also needs to be changed slightly, but you'll still have alot more change left in your pocket as opposed to getting TRD headers.

I've got my old 2zz-ge headers if you want them ;) :P

hahahaaaa

It was amazing looking at the TRD headers to the factory ones (sportivo) only diff was quality of welds (if any) and diameter of piping ;)

I have genie/wildcat headers, funny thing is, the wildcat hearder is like twice as long as the standard :S

Well it fit well, but forget about using the std piping.
