Filter wise the choice would be either a K & N or another generic brand which will obviously affect price. It would come as a kit with all hardware to install(brackets, nuts, bolts, rubbers etc)

Price is hard to say but prolly around the prices of the CAI for the ZZE 122/3's so say between 350 - 500?? I'm only guessing but they would have to make one first to see what time is involved and dyno comparisons of before and after to see roughly what power gains are.

Like I said I have a company lined up to do it but I want to see REAL interest not tyre kicker interest before I myself put up time, money and effort to see something put into production.

Will they be conducting any testing on the new one before issuing to customers?

CAP read the above post in bold.

and i think you also said that they will test different pod filters is this correct? and if so which 1z?

-rez- read the above post in bold.

Some of you should just simply read the post first then ask questions not the other way around.

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to show all of you this thread form a US forum regarding a newly developed Intake Manifold for the 2ZR-fe 1.8L engine.

http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=240773

We are currently looking for people interested as the developer of the intake Mani is asking for at least 10 people to make a production run.

The estomated price will be $700 Us dollars.

So you can have an idea of the gains from the Mani.

The prototype unit produced 145 Wheel Horse power on the 1.8 engine from a base line of 119 Wheel HP.

The car was also equipped a full exhaust and a cold air intake. According to the designer at least 15 whp come from the manifold only.

If any one interested please look the thread I mention over at scionlife.com and post your interest there.

Off course INTL shipment can be arranged.

Oh BTW I drive a Yaris TS 2008. This car comes equipped with the 1.8 2ZR-FE Engine.

See a picture of the engine below equipped with a Fujita competition CAI
