Electric Supercharger

Recommended Posts

Linky

It is literally a hair dryer for your car, claims 2-3PSI, I would be tempted to try it out just for kicks - it looks ridiculous.

What do you guyd think - I think the performance gains would be minimal at best

the electric thingo is sooo loud...

about more air + more petrol = faster, actually correct, but as ECU nowadays will "study" how much air suked in, it is try to turn back to the original settings.. so.. ECU have to be updated too.. this is what i found after i changed whole intake of aurion

Lol,

a diy, el cheapo charger solution is discussed and i'm not involved.

no respect for the old timers I tell ya.

in theory its possible.

of course the thing would need to be built just like a real supercharger, then you'd need a BIG electric motor to reach the torque and power of the motor AND you'd need a very powerful electrical source to run it.

Afterall that you'd need an ECU and MAF/MAP that could handle the extra whooosh of air

Someone did the maths on it before and it was approx the number of Amps equivalent to a boot full of car batteries to get the charge required for decent "boost"

There was a guy in the US that built them as "rechargable" NOS like systems and it involved having loads of extra batteries in the boot too.

Mmm.... old topics rehashed

LOL Dyl do you think I could get that through scrutineering at the hillclimb???

Maybe I'll have a displacement multiplier for forced induction

No No No No No No No. everyone knows that the electric supercharger is only meant to be used in conjunction with a flux capacitor. Obviously you guys haven't read the manual. Boost kicks in a 88miles/hour. Pfst! learn to read guys!:whistling:
