I went to the City Toyota(Melbourne) to speak to them about adding the front grill to the car, they quoted me $190 for the grill inclusive of fitting. That's pretty cheap eh? From what I've seen from this thread, it's more expensive to fit an after market one.

So after all that's been said, I would like to find out the following:

1) Where can I get a good CAI for the Stivo? AEM or TRD doesn't matter, as long as it's well priced.

2) Where's a good place to get Eibach Springs? Is it easy to install them myself?

3) Unichip: How much does it cost including installation? Is it worth it?

4) Remus Exhaust: Where to get it?

Seeing the wealth of knowledge here, these should be pretty easy questions. I'm located in Melbourne so if there is a place to get them here, that'll be great. Thanks.

can i just confirm some stuff with you guys regarding the purchase of the parts:

-BlackRolla: pair of eyelids (black)

-srr: pair of eyelids (what colour?)

-Exec6speed: pair of eyelids (you still interested? i'll need a confirmation from you and your colour code)

-shaohaok: slimline weather shields (set of 4)

-xTiGeRx [updated]: pair of eyelids (colour?) and weather shields

here the update thus far: the price of the genuine toyota eyelids (painted) is $180/= for a pair. reason for the price increase is cos they've apparently stopped production of accessories like the eyelids due to Toyota Asia switching to the Altis model corollas. due to the still high demand of the parts with limited supplies, there's a supply/demand problem and hence they've increased the price. i can get them slightly cheaper from bodykit shops but they're not genuine items hence you'll run a risk of the paint not matching and poor fitting. an interesting accessory i found at the toyota warehouse is the slimline weather shields. they're slimmer than the ones available from toyota in australia, and they've got the word 'corolla' printed on the front doors' sets. they come in a set of 4, dark coloured, at a price of $180/= rrp as well. however, i should be able to get a discount on the weathershields. anyone interested please msg me by the end of the week. i'm going to place the orders for the eyelids and weather shields on monday, and cos the place is quite far from where i work and i dont think i'll have another chance to go there again until i collect the items.

Hey Saintz01

Where in Singapore are you getting them from? I'm actually from Singapore but now living in Melbourne, maybe I can get my friend to go take a look at them for me.

Hey all,

This is my first post here, I been reading your comments etc, as I am about to purchase my own Corolla Sportivo. It's been great reading and I've been learning more about the corolla.

I was just wondering if any of you have heard of CRD, Croydon Racing Development for mods? I don't think they specialise in anything, i.e. TRD, but they do a lot of mods.

I've been to this other guys site and he gets all his work done there, although not a Corolla, I'd imagine that these guys do know their stuff since they have done some huge projects. You can check out some of their work on www.rh9.com.au

www.exvitermini.com used to exist and Mario, at one stage had the fastest R33 in Aust. CRD is based in Silverwater now. I'm not sure if I'll be doing many mods to my car when/if I get it, but CRD may be a good place to check out. :)

Rightio fellas,

the eyelids have been ordered.

srr: mate, i got ya the white eyelids in my possession already, they've got stock for it. i'll organise the payment with ya when i get back

Blackrolla & Exec6speed: guys, i've ordred and paid for yours as well. however, it'll be a few weeks late cos they have to get them painted in japan and then air freight to me before i can send it over.

peekay. i got the same CAI as u. how much did u pay?

got mine for "cost price" from toyota at penrith for $450 or something.

also how long did urs take to put in........ It was an absolute **** fight puting mine on.

Already destroyed the filter that came with it because i didnt have it on properly and was rubbing on the back off the spotties and tore a hole in it :( fixed it up put a K&N on...... no notiable power difference.

also we both go on a cruise id like to sus out how urs is hooked up because im not 100% on correctness of my installation...... but it works.. idles fine so i figure its alright.

For the grille, i bought mine at Seino in melbourne. cost me $110 for the grille and 30 bucks for painting. this grill is a bit tricky to fit in and its made of fibreglass, but its more aggresive because of the pointier nose.

Hey Danz,

Is it the standard Stivo grill that you purchased from Seino? Where's Seino?

Anyone knows if this will fit our Stivo?

GRI-TC03.jpg

It's from the States and it says it's for the 03-04 Toyota Corolla. Is the Altise grill a different size from our Stivo?

Penrith Toyota are absolute ripoffs  I know that Sharmz and a couple of other guys in here agree. They quoted me $540 for TRD CAI plus $340 for S/S. To fit they are asking for $75 per/hr total of 5 hours they reckon. Thats $1255 all up  You seriouass!

do not purchase this item!

usa and taiwan can interchange exterior parts. australia can interchange exterior parts with south africa and japan. please remember that our corollas have a little raised nose.

in australia you should not need to pay more than $180.00 for genuine toyota parts eyelids (left and right) factory painted in japan. there are aftermarket parts and these roughly cost 50% less. of course if you like genuine toyota you will pay more against aftermarket parts.
