2ZZGE Conversion...

While this post should probably go in the Wanted Section I thought it would be better here so all the Corolla Fans can hopefully read it...

My friend has an 02 Corolla with the 1ZZFE...

Long story short the bottom end bearings have gone...

Been quoted $1800 to supply and fit a second hand 1ZZ engine...

He asked me what a 2ZZ is worth and where I can get them from...

I think I remember reading something about King Wreck being the place to go???

Can anyone confirm this or tell me where I can look for one???

Any idea on prices for a full Sportivo front cut???

last time i been there ask for change 2zz with everything (com,gearbox ,engine, everything ) for 5500 with fit in and he can do 5k with fit in and trade in my 1zz gearbox and enigne

Thats the one I read...

Called them today...

They've got the engine, box and ECU but no wiring, shafts, or anything...

Told me $2500 for above...

But a friend of a friend runs a panel shop, they've got a Stivo in there thats had a whopper up the ***** end, keeping an eye on what happens with that...

Hahaha, thats looking like it might be the only option...

Still waiting to hear back from the panel shop with the rear ended Stivo, hopefully they wanna let it go and I'll snap it up :) ...

i actually wandered into king wreckers last weekend...

so many corollas (1/2ZZ) over there! damn felt like i went to disneyland! (certainly dindt look like disneyland though)

it is a double lid (small compartment in the lid itself) with leather or cloth trim in the sportivo and levin respectively.

Pre facelift is single plastic lid and facelift has double lid with extra storage compartment and is leather trimmed.
