1) before.

2) grab here and pull.

3) Pull some more.

4) this is with the aircon ducts off.

5) pull the fan speed dial off ( this is for non climate controll models)

6) undo this screw.

7) pull this off (the bit of plastic around the gear stick

8) you can now pull the center console out.

9) the two outside dials stay on the car.

10) disconnect the A/C, Hazard lights and the rear demister (seat belt light for climate controll models)

11, 12) there are 4 bolts under the unit undo all 4.

13) all bolts out.

14) unplug the two speaker plugs and the arial plug, pull the unit up and out, and all done

It doesnt hurt to have another one's perspective and explanation of the same procedure.

Plus, afyfe, your instructions are specific to a sportivo. His one is specific to non-sportivo models. For this reason, I dont think we are doubling up on posts on the same issue.

I have the non-sportivo corolla and personally find it helpful to follow instructions based on a model similar to mine.

I realise that you may feel that your work and efforts may be superseded by his post, but dont worry, I am sure sportivo owners would prefer to follow your instructions.

I am only saying this coz I appreciate what Northy has done. And yours too.

hey guys

im doing this now, but the centre climate dials seems like they are clipped into that panel

so when i try to pull its like something is holding it in, and i dont want to pull harder as it might snap

any tips?

Nice post, thanks for taking the time to take photos and to let us know how it's done! ;)
