14.29, exceptional, and starting some trouble for me as bella is starting to really like blue aurions.

and well done to djkor for being right on rowáns tail

i was thinking, oh man, rowans run in the 13's (looking at daryls first post and waiting for 313), i'll have to concede to the greatness of the aurion, but alas no, there's still remains a glimmer of hope for me in the run criteria you set up for my lil stivo.

one one one, no disadvantage to the aurion that rowan has accepted, the aurion has the stivo in a straight line hands down. good result.

thanks phil :) your welcome to take my car for a drive and see what they actually handle like lowered and with the brace etc. and im sure daryl would be happy to let u to, to help assist your decission.

also my uncle (who i brought mine off) sells alot of blue aurion sportivos for really cheap....just thought id let u know ;)

you car +5g would see u in an 08 model...

I can't take this anymore

Anyone up for a Test and Tune this Wednesday. I sure as hell am going to go to set this straight and just wondering if anyone wanted to accompany me.

313, the aurion loses out due to lack split fold rear seat, only thing I have against it. everything else i like, well except lack of lift (!)

djkor, i see in your signature, track time coming soon, let me know when

it's a long way, but a 13sec na aurion would be a thing of great beauty.

TBH, i think with a little work, you could get an N/A aurion to run mid-high 13's

Once I have my box sorted I might try drags and track. But I have a hell of a time getting 2nd gear. Phil's box is mint though! And he still gets trouble with overheating tranny fluid after a few laps at QR. So I'm waiting to I have the gremlins sorted first. I've aquired some nice brake pads, and hopefully the brake shop can machine my rotors and do my clutch adjustment as per the service thing Toyota put out (Toyota surely cant...).

And don't forget, a certain 175kW 1.6L turbo TX3 will destroy all of you in straight lines, AND around corners.* :P

Gav.

*If I can ever get the dam thing finished. Going to cam shop today.

I can't help it. It is in my nature.

Even though the difference is only very marginal, having a '3' in front of the decimal doesn't look as good as having a '2'.

The Test and Tune should give me some opportunity to work on my launch. I just thought, if you were able to stall it up on the Michelins, I wonder if I could stall it up higher on the Adrenalin's.... That's providing that stalling it up actually does help. I guess I will fit more runs in to try it out.

Mick: If you are still up for it on the night, we can meet before hand.

yeah, we are both westside... so maybe indro or somethng?

Sounds good to me.

As well, I'm thinking of buying a helmet for myself. Any recommendations? No need to go over the top I reckon.

as long as it complies to australian standards and its comfortable it should be all good... no need to go get an arai or something crazy.

I would head over to a motorbike place (lots at slacks ck, moss st.) and try some on.

How convenient. Moss St is like one minute away from my office here. My head down in my lunch break. Are the open face helmets that are AS approved still okay for use?

Im interested in a run on Wednesday night.

That would be exellent.

Posted

I don't see why an AS open face helmet wouldn't be acceptable.

Personaly though I prefer a closed face helmet.

Posted

you can use open face but there a bit sissy i think go to the dirt bike places there and get a dirt bike one and take then brim off...cheapest helmet goes for about 180 odd and all of them are AS approved

Okay guys, I've got myself a new helmet (may not be the best, but oh wells) and I am definitely in for this Wednesday.

Plus now that I've got my helmet, all I need is some new front rotors and pads and then I'm DEFINITELY in for QR.
