so urs was carby too?? was it really messy to deal with the wiring for the ECU etc when coverting to efi?

yeah interesting to see which engine it uses although its going to be difficult to track down the person who we got the car off. we've bought it over 15 years ago and its just been sitting there till this very day.

so many people ask me if i wana sell the car to them lol.

how much did u pay for the car before doing any modifications btw? some guy offered me like $3000 (in the conditions shown in the previous posted pictures)

just after watching initial D anime and movie made me realise that it was the same car as takumi, so i hell wana do it up now.

yea, was carby and its a pain in the ***** for converting but worth it all... not giving any problem as well...

for a condition like that for 3k is a good price... if it has engine even a carby with complete interior, it would be worth like 5-6k... got mine 8k... now worth like 9-10k lol.. since it has been repaint, less rust... 4age... full interior

the body wont have rust if u leave it undershed away from sun and salt water or whatever makes a car rust lol... dust wont make it rust... haha...

wait till someone bother doing Initial D the movie part 2... Takumi tax will hit again and the value of the 86 will rise again... lol

thanks dude, they are imported but buy them locally in perth... there's a set for $1500 15"x6.5 if your interested lol... those are 14's for $400 from Infinite Autosports

LEGEND888:

hahaha, yes, I am very surprised when I see this... never thought AE86 would be a hit at this fourm....

will definitely attend the cruise, if its before June, I'll ask my friend to drive the car, since I am still on L's till June... hehe

Guni:

haha thanks,

hahahahha... oh man! AE86 will be a hit on this forum for sure! im sure after seeing ur nice car, some other guys will be very interested on getting some AE86 too.... lolz eg trdsaads? LOLZ

yeh mate, make sure you check the WA events thread :) so you wont miss out, although im prettty sure someone gonna remind u via PM to come anyway LOL

:) Anyway, welcome..... :) hope to see you around, as you live around my house area too anyway ROFL

EDIT: Be sure to come to our hill session too! im sure u will love it in ur car! ROFL beheehhehhe!

Thats right about Initial d fanatics. There is a dude in Melb that drives a Trueno AE86. Sometimes see it on Russel Street from 8pm onwards. looks exactly like Takumi's AE86...so sweet to look at and the sound of the engine just make you smile and want to own one.

Grats on your ride Shah... really impressive! Now thats left to do is to get a black carbon hood and black Watanabe rims to complete Takumi's feared monster of an ae86. ;)

Initial D+ae86 FTW!!! :D :P

check out the pic with the Initial D stage 4 arcade game hooked upto to the ae86.

hehe, thanks dude... but remember, before i could start to install carbon fibre hood, i need to blow my engine first just like Takumi then i could install the hood with 20V 4AGE... :D

got Watanabe for the front as skidders, now waiting for another bargain watanabes for the back...

hehe yea,, wish i was there playing with that machine, maybe i could get a VIP access if i own an AE86 lol...

hahaha...no dont do that... TRD 4age 20v is for Pro track racers only, not for normal road use. Its is designed for high rev driving on a constant basis, thus it has to be maintained on a frequent basis (eg. taking it apart, cleaning and rebuilding). Also its quite expensive in the tens of thousands.

16v 4age engine is powerful. ;)

not sure where you got the info from.. there a MANY 20V 4AGE's installed in many variations of the corolla...

they are an awesome moter producing around 120kw at the flywheel delivered in JDM AE101 spec cars. so you can get a full front cut for $2500 or an Engine pack for around $1500 depending where you go.

The need as much attention as any domestically producted engine, def dont need pulling down "frequently" .

20V 4AGE is a Great upgrade if you trash your 16V.

I agree with blind kid i beleive the AE101's or at least some versions early to mid 90's came with a silvertop 20V you can also get a black top version which is slightly more "aggressive" from what i understand its like the diff between the std 88kW and 100kW versions of 16V cam's slightly diff and ecu etc. And a 20V is Just as reliable as the 16V anyone who says diff isnt thinking logically. I understand there are what are known as formula atlantic cars over in japan similar to our formula fords that run extreme versions of 4Age's wherther they are 16V or 20V i dont know.

i believe the Formula Atlantics are still 16V from memory... will have to look on Billzilla ;)

FWIW Blacktops are 127kw, have lightened conrods etc etc... for reliability (and peice of mind) i'd opt for Silvertop.

iam surprised how someone says 20V is a track race engine and needs a frequent service... lol...

nahh, like blind kid says, its a great engine, un-expensive and a nice power engine... reliable too...

less mods will be needed on those engine as simple stock is more than enough for daily driving...

If like what you say its not good, i have a second choice...

In a windy and rainy day, there is no place to spray paint the rims, BUT.... with the power of beyond imagination there was a solution:

And so the job begins...

tomorrow it will be dry and ready for another photo of the finish result...

so, if you plan to spray paint something on a windy and rainy day and cant do in home... a tent is a solution
