Hey guys, I know a couple of you (I'm looking right at you Daryl) were saying they wouldn't mind going to drifts @ Archerfield to check it out. This Friday night there is a big judged competition, should be some nice cars and driving out there on display. I'm going out with some mates, any of you interested in coming? It's $10 entry, entry starts at 5pm and finishes at around 10pm.

Yeah, I wanna see this too. Can we meetup somewhere on the way. I would be heading there on the Centenary from Paddington way.

Do you guys want to do dinner before that? The competition goes up to 10pm, doesn't matter if we are slightly late.

Ok, this is what i can find

We are holding a fun drift comp this Friday night in lead up to the big 5 Round Series commencing very soon! It's a good chance to learn the track and atmosphere if you are wanting to enter the bigger series later on. For drivers that know Archy well... it will be a night filled with super fun happy sliding with quite a crowd cheering you on!

Practice starts 6pm with comp starting 7pm!

Entry for drivers costs $55 and spectators $10 for adults and $5 for children

so, above, says comp starts at 7pm, not 5pm.

meeting spot?

dinner, possible, not sure with leaving city, home then back out, i'll make it.

gav, you always profess to being quite the fwd drifter, so we going to see you out there?

I can't FF drift the Corolla, but the Laser is mad for it with the hard springs in there (which are coming out soon). I'd be happy to give it a go some day, but the track there doesn't have much run off if I bonk, which is scary.

Where are we going to meet up for fuds?

There's this place along Boundary Rd in Archerfield called Yimi 476 which apparently has very delectable fare.

Whoops, that's not a restaurant at all.

I do hear it has a great variety of oriental cuisine.

But yeah, I'm definitely in for dinner and watching people drift.

There's a place at Robertson that does decent meals for $10 (Daryl we went there last time).

7 - 8 Coffee shop

(07) 3272 7878

Shop 5, 17 Barrett St, Robertson, 4109, QLD

Pretty close to Archerfield, but we'll need to book places because they might be crowded. What do you guys think?

I have a pretty good feeling that Archy will be absolutely packed, might be a bit of an idea to avoid the dinner as we won't get parks if we get there too late. Last one I went to was only a practice night and I had to park miles away.

But hey, whatever. I'm happy to do anything.

Also, AFAIK FWD cars are not allowed to enter :P

Sounds good to me. I'm pretty flexible. Cheap food is a bonus after spending $1140 on tires.

OK, so we meet 6.30pm at the Shell servo, corner of Granard and Beatty Roads, Rocklea?

With the Friday arvo traffic I'll have to leave work at 5.45pm to be safe.

I wouldn't mind getting a fortnightly dinner or something going too, will have to look into that when my schedule slightly free's up.
