Hey guys,

After months of thinking if i should get the wing tip or not, i finally decided so.

Yesterday they arrived.

I really like them, but it's quite pricey for such a thing!!

Anyways, here it is:

In the weekend i'll go to the body-shop to get it painted and attached.

I don't only want to screw it, but i want to fiber it to one piece with the spoiler, just like a couple of you guys already did.

The guys who did this, can you please post up pics...

Thanks

nice dude, I was thinking of getting some too... how much did u get them? cuz i got quoted for 180 for a pair at cyber century in Footscray and i'm not really sure if they are C-ones or not!

i don't think the brand really matters?, as long as it fits well right?

how much u getting it painted for?

I got them for US$280 total. Very Pricey!!

But thats because I live in Suriname.

I bought them from Australlia for US$220, shipped to USA.

From their on it was shipped to Suriname and that's why it's US$280 total!!

So a $180 is a good price if you ask me.

And if brand matters..? I think in a certain kind of way it does..

The C-one fits very nice and it really has a very nice finish.

It's good quality.

Painting will cost about $80 i think.

Didn't get a quotation yet..

my bad, wasn't looking at the country your from lol. i dunno i'll search the forums to see if there are any recent prices on these, but i think 180 is ok IF they are c-ones.

Wow, nice work their.

I hope mine comes out as beautiful as yours :)

Is $180 a decent price to get the wing tip mounted, fibered to one piece and paint the whole spoiler?

Cause that's what the body-shop asks me

Sounds like a good price for start to finish i think.. Worth every cent so you dont have screws showing...

Looking forward to end result, i might get some too ;)

x2. i installed mine with a dodgy installer. he even glued the tips to the spoiler. + glued the spoiler to the car.

he charged me $150 i think it was? for painting, installing etc. which is dodgy.

if i can wind the time back, ill get a better installer + dont mind paying more for better result. :)

hey guys digging up an old thread, does anyone know where in the western suburbs i can get a good price to mould these in?

i asked a few places and the range from 200 to 250. the 250 one however has done a few before and i checked out some of his vintage cars in there too, quite nice =)

cheers

mine moulded in... I wasn't 100% happy with the result as the wingtips looks like they've been added on still after seeing kolourhero's moulded in. Paid the guy 250 bucks far out. Didn't wanna be a bitch about it so i paid it.

Maybe it was partly my fault as i didn't tell him what i wanted exactly. Just told him to mould it on the spoiler... <_<

Anyways, you guys be the judge!

It looks fine from where I'm sitting... LOL!!

What's wrong it it?

if you look and compare with others, the edge of the wing tip shows, (its not smoothed out to make the whole spoiler look one piece). i think I've explained it the best i could

maybe pictures are better

regardless, I like the wing tips, but i understand what you mean, you should've asked for him to 'blend' the wing tips in, if you wanted them similar to kolourhero's previous car XD

thanks evo haha.

i did have a chat with him this morning about it and he said that he'd rather have it this way because it follows the line where the rubber runs down from the front to rear. he also said that blending it in with fiber glass on plastic WILL crack in the joints in the future. He also said on the edges he used silicon so it gives a bit of flex so if something does hit it, it won't crack along the joints.

i think in the end of the day, it can't be perfect but at least the paint job was good :)

at least i know where i'll be getting the whole car resprayed in the next decade :P

shall i tempt u on some wing tips evo :spiteful: nudge nudge towards group buy hehehe B)

ohhh nice :) anyways i went to see a couple of other body shops around the area and they all said that this is the way they would do it. They all said that with the wind and bumps etc on the road, they will crack. they also said that 250 is DIRT CHEAP. :P

i feel much more better now getting 2nd and 3rd opinions

put up pics johnathon! :toast:
