Hey guys... Did a search n nothing came up.

Anyways today i've realised some knocking noise coming from the passenger side of the car. Mostly happens from going over a bump when going straight but sometimes returning steering wheel from turning. It is a single knock and sounds like something is hitting the arch of the plastic guard around the wheel. Lately i have been driving abit hard around corners and since im running super lows on standard struts, they might be on thier way out? Last time i checked my shockies they werent leaking and ive tried bouncing all corners but dont really notice a difference in the dampening. I dun know whether the previous owners had different strut on when they owned it but lets just assume that they had it with the standard struts for almost 72,000 kms. It is now travelled close to 100,000 kms. No creaking or random knocks

Should i get my suspensiin checked out by a professional?

Cheers in advance :)

laugh.gif Fellas be aware , i had/have a bit of a rolling sound (sounds like tyre/tyres) on my Sportivo. Convinced it was uneven tire wear i swapped them but the noise remained .. Took it Pedders for a 28 point check and told the bloke i had a bit of noise coming from drivers side , 2 hrs later their report showed Drivers Side Wheel breaing was the cause and required changing.

Bought the bearing went to 2 mechanics and both advised the bearing on the car had nothing wrong with it..

To this day (3 weeks later) i feel like calling Pedders Head Office and complaining about their Bull**** Doggy check up ..

Another member pointed out too they have been to Today Tonight Or Current Affairs busted for claiming repaires were needed on cars with NO Fault..

Apparently if its a CLICKING sound it could be the CV joint.

Simple test i was advised to do was , go to an open area like a carpark (No humps pls ) , lock the steering wheel in one direction and make a few circles..

No burnouts ..biggrin.gif .Then repeat for the other direction .If CV joint , you will hear clicking sound as the car is doing the 360 turns..

And NO PEDDERS ! Their slogan should change to "plenty Bull" instead of "and No Bull"laugh.gif
