Okay, since it is now official that I shall be attaining moderator privileges soon, I figured I may as well get a head start on this.

Now the purpose of this thread is for you members to post any moderating requests. Sure enough you can PM them to me, but in order to keep it less personal and more as a 'site suggestion' you can just post it here. It will also save on filling my inbox with a lot of whinging :lol:

For example, if you come across a thread that you think is getting out of control or you think should be moved/deleted, just mention here what your thoughts are and I'll attend to it next I'm on. One such scenario would be if you think the 'SPAM Thread' in the Aurion forum belongs in the Club Lounge. This is something I would like to see moved, but I just feel that if I send a PM to a mod, it would seem like I'm just being a whinger. Plus, it saves on having to make small talk (ie. how are you, sorry to annoy you, etc etc) when all you want to do is something simple. Instead, posting it here feels more like a suggestion and it feels a little more comfortable... if you get where I'm coming from.

So with that said, here is the thread... feel free to make your suggestions. Just remember that there are limits and I can't just fine tune the board to be perfect. It still is a forum after all.

Kool. My first deleted thread. I think I tried to experiment on deleting an old irrelevant thread and I didn't have appropriate permissions. I'm still trying to understand what a 'Moderator' on the boards here can and can't do. Unfortunately it's not like I have a manual or anything... or so I think.

Edit: I can't block the member though. I think that is a job for a Super Mod.

Shame the Mod label on your profile looks a lot less fancy than the SOC supporter label. Certainly it could do with some improvement.

a suggestion i've had since the good ol' days, is for an updated revision of the buying/selling FAQ

- i.e the use of the term (e o i) , which i admit i've previously had mistakes with

That thread and the one's below it (I'll fess up to moving the one "Spotted: Green Avalon on Bell Street, Preston" into there when I was cleaning the Aurion board) cannot be deleted personally by myself. I think only a Super Moderator or Admin has the rights to modify posts there.

If I could, those three threads would be gone from there by now.

Can you make Rowan start his own ride thread instead of posting everything in Bill's thread?

Also make the sub title read "I should have got a GT35".

      overheated engine

      I drive a 2010 series 200 sahara V8 automatic. I recently towed a small caravan on a not that hotter day. The temperature gauge went to about half then dropped back to normal. The motor then went into limp mode and eventually stopped. On lifting the bonnet i noticed the top radiator tank had split all the way across. I have only two months ago had the complete cooling system checked with no defects. I called the RAA in South Aust and they tried to start it but just turned over but did not fire up. It was still pretty hot. I have been told the motor would be ruined by overheating. The car has been sitting at the repairers for 5 days now and as far as i know it has not been attempted to start. Before putting a new motor in it would it be worth putting a new radiator in it and see if it will fire up? Open to any suggestions at this stage.

      1996 Trueno XZ - Is it worth modding?

      Depends on how common/rare they are in your part of the world. The XZ trim was the second-lowest so didn't come with most of the fun bits that the full-fruit BZG/V/R models did, so it's not anywhere near as desirable stock but sometimes you have to make do with what you can find, plus you shouldn't feel as guilty modding the heck out of it since most of it isn't special.

      VSC, Traction Control, Check Engine lights all on

      I attended Toyota Preston for Aurion ATX 2013 major service today. Cost $~$1300. On the way home I stopped to pick up dinner. Two fault lights: engine and VSC lights came on when I restarted the car. Car drove home just fine. I can only return the car tomorrow for them to sort out. Annoyed. Let’s see if they’re still on in the morning.

      1996 Trueno XZ - Is it worth modding?

      Hi everyone, new member to the group and owner driver of a nifty little Toyota Sprinter Trueno XZ, now this was my cousins car, I bought it off him and after various drives, I have come to the decision that this needs alot of love. Now I am wondering if its worth putting my time and money into doing this certain make n model up or should I just buy a different car to do up?
