Hi, does anyone know the flow rate that the ZRE fuel injectors are set at? Also do you know of a larger injector that suits the fuel rail - Connecting electric plugs not an issue.

Also anyone have a wiring diagram for the ZRE?

Thanks

P.s still no luck on having an ECU installed for my turbo set up. Many failed attempts. Car now booked in on the 15th november for full custom work (as no piggy back is suitable) priced at $3,200.

are the stock injectors normal 11mm topfeeds? If so you can use some ST215 3sgte 525cc injectors, or even some Injector Dynamics 725cc. Insight Motorsports stock the Injector dynamics range in Sydney.

If you're doing a full wire-in then it doesn't take too much longer to trace the loom back from tne engine side, some probing with the multimeter should also quickly reveal the ignition and main relay circuits to anyone familiar with ECU wiring.

so you tried most of the piggy back systems and none work :( ****zu.... whats the price update? i bet you its ugly ey????? :( lol but hmm i sooo wanna no the outcome :P see if it surprises me or not :)

hey have you llooked into getting an LSD?

Hi, It is something i have considered and is no doubt required. When i hit full boost even in third gear i loose traction from my 18x225's (and not cheap ones either). It become more frighting when ive got power down on a bend in 2nd or 3rd and hit boost, the front wheel pull to the side is a real fight to keep on the road while maintaining speed pick up.

Do you know of any part avail?

Luck so far the failed ECU installed have only cost me time with no car. I generally get the car back from the installers within 2 days. They tend to drag me me in and push me out once they look at it.

Have you tried these fella's ? and see if they can sort out the M400 Motec ECU.

Not going to be cheap but if you want total control a full ECU is the only way to go for the corolla's.

You do know that the most experienced 2ZZ-GE engine builder in Australia, possibly the world, is in Queanbeyan near Canberra, don't you?

Neal Bates Motorsport are a great bunch of Guys and extremely experienced with Toyota performance but Neil Trama Engineering

www.neiltrama.com

has

2 Australian production Car Championships outright with 2ZZ-GE powered Celicas

5 (or maybe 6) class wins at Bathurst 12 Hour and Bathurst 24 Hour races

4 finishes in the Nurburgring 24 Hour in Germany

1 top 10 finish in the London to Sydney Marathon rally

I am also responsible for the engine in this car

The above car finished 4th outright, fastest Australian Car and Fastest Rear Wheel Drive Car at Superlap this year.

a Lotus powered by a 2ZZ-GE. Prep'd Motorsport spanners the car, I did the engine and the Motec tuning.

One of my supercharged Lotus' has just done the 8th fastest 0-100km/h time that Motor magazine has ever recorded, look it up if you don't believe me, it is in the latest edition.

One of my engines powers Mark O'Connor's Lotus Exige which in the last round of the Dutton Rally Series in 2009 was fastest by 0.75s over the standing 800m. The Porsche GT2 (modified) was second and the (modified) Nissan R35 GTR was a further 0.8s behind.

Another of my Lotus 2ZZ-GE engines won the last round of the Australian Tarmac Challenge outright and on debut. Driven by John Boston.

Honestly, what do I have to do to be noticed?

OK I don't have a flash website and I am not a great salesman, but do you want an engine builder and tuner or a salesman to work on your car?

Hi, i also have not heard of yourself. Sorry, I had made many a call to neil bates workshop and each time i get a cant do response.

Ill be in touch today to discuss my car.

Hi Neil, I came accross your website last year and have the following questions.

1. Do you have any experience in working with a FWD ZZE corolla powered by a 2zzge engine compared to a Lotus Exige RWD MR layout?

2. What is the estimated costs to having a fine tuned turbo setup for a 2zzge in a ZZE Corolla Sportivo?

3. Are your services only limited to engine work or is it extended in the handling department and other aspects of race spec tuning?

- Chassis strengthening & engineering. Would like to know if your are able to achieve an optimum weight balance for a fwd ZZE corolla and then tune the suspension according to it.

- Upgrading brake system.

- Upgrading of exhaust system.

- Undoubtedly, there will be more stress on the stock gearbox, therefore what type of gearbox will be required to match the optimum power output of the fwd 2zzge? In Simon Evan's Corolla, a Five-speed dog box was used to match the 3S-GTE engine. What gearbox and/or components was used in Mark O'Connor's Lotus Exige? Upgrading the MT gearbox from the "H" pattern to sequential would also be required..

4. How long is the downtime for the above work?

Cheers,

row.

Have spoken with neil and he is not able to assist us with the 2ZR-FE setup. Ill stick with Adaptronic.

1: I was the engine builder and race engineer for the Leanne Ferrier (Now Tander) Corolla Sportivo in the Australian Production Car Championship in 2004. That car was then given to Osborne Motorsport and then used in the 2006, 07, 08 and 09 Nurburgring 24 Hour races using a 2.0 litre stroker also built by me. I was also race engineer at those 4 events. The car is now in the hands of John Roecken and is being used in IPRA events. I am race engineer on that project and will be building a new 2.0 litre stroker. I also built the engine for Peter Taylor who finished 10th outright in the 2005 London to Sydney Rally. I am engine builder and race engineer for the Lauren Gray Motorsport Team which competes in the Australian Production Car Championship with a Corolla Sportivo.

2: We probably need to chat about that. I have done 2 turbo engines over 500 BHP. I have done several supercharged engines over 400 BHP. I rarely use other than Motec ECU's.

3: I do engine work, tuning and can advise on other components and setup. I know who can help you.

4: I know how to get the gearboxes to live with over 400BHP in a RWD situation. I know who can assemble them properly. I can get you a Sadev sequential gearbox and have experience with flat shifting strategies for the Motec ECU.

Send me an email or PM to get a quote, but do call me on the mobile first to discuss your requirements. I am generally available after 16:00 during the week.

great to see you around neil .... unfortunately for me its far too late to ask for your services ..... For the rest of the guys .... now u have someone around offering their services .... time to separate the men from the boys ;) ;) ;)

back on topic .... yeah this is going to tend to be the issue when ur the first .... gonna have to go down the custom route unless you can uncover something being done out of europe or japan.

The malaysia, phillipines and thai corolla have turbo with unichip installed successfully

I suggest you call and ask...rather than frustration or reinventing the wheel in Australia

I am aware those countries are left hand drive, and they are not japanese built corolla..

Good luck with the project Ray, ill be glued to your post when you make one :)

hahaha

John and I have been looking for some time on the jap Auris websites, despite the crazy custom stuff they do over there, still no sight of boosting anywhere yet.

Im not sure on the complete details, but the Trust S/charger i was looking at for the Lexus, comes with a E-manage "Ultimate". Not sure if its suitable for your application but they do use it on the 3UZ which also has VVti. Maybe a go-er?

All the best Ray.
