just wondering whats the difference between a normal automatic and a CVT automatic? thanks

Since I am not a mod it is ok to say this.

Isn't there a 'Stupid Questions' thread for questions of this nature? I mean, a new thread for a one line question...?

sorry but after reading countless questions being new threads, i have to say this: u post questions that are legit but u seem not to understand that there is a stupid questions thread in the club lounge. even after many people have pointed out to you and you have responded that u may have got the "tabs" mixed up or something. even if u think it may not be a stupid question. its a good place to ask because it does not clog up the forum with threads with these types of questions

look harder and u will find it.

CVT's have an infinite gear set, in fact unlike a normal auto or manual where the revs and speeds dictate the gear your in 1-6 a CVT power train’s engine never changes revs it’s the gear ratio's that keep changing. Pretty interesting stuff to look into
