Update!

8089688919_de350b2d29_z.jpg

So finally got around putting the series 2 brakes in and man do they bite! along with the fluid, hoses, rotors and pads.

Have now got my tyres on the tom's. Set for winton this sunday. They are Federals RSR's 195/50/15, hoping to try break into the high 40's! :D

The car has been blowing blue smoke for awhile and its getting worse which is worrying me, as of what it could be, valve seals or piston rings, deciding what to do with it after track day. Hoping that its the seals, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Cheers for the photos!

Took the car to Winton last week. Manage to get a new pb 1:51.1410 which was .7 seconds faster, I'm too lazy to post up the rest of my times. Really wanted to get under the 50's though I was having trouble getting near the 50's. Think I'll need to grow some balls to brake later and harder, also improving my driving lines on some turns. Had problems with my ride height as well, I raised it 1cm all round and the rears turned out to be a little higher which was giving me abit of oversteer around the corners.

Next track day won't be till next year, as I've got a few plans for the car which includes rebuild engine and replace what ever is worn out in the suspension system.

few pics for now

Cars going to get rebuild soon! got pretty much everything ready. Gasket kit, piston rings, trd head gasket, replacement gearbox, h/d clutch and other minor things.

Decided to buy another set of wheels, not sure what I'll do with them

Bit of a update.

11-01-13

My paint was pretty much dull on every panel so had some spare time at work and gave it a cut and polish. Looks like it just had a fresh paint job!

here are some before and after shots

So its back!

Picked the car up this weekend and man it feels good to be back in it. The car is alot more smoother and responsive :D

Haven't drove it at its full potential yet since I've got to drive the engine but it does feel alot better then before.

There were few problems when it was being engine was being disassembled. When the car was converted to 20v, they didn't bother changing to oxy wire so i was running a single wire instead of a 4 wire which made the car run rich the whole time. It was also running a silvertop flywheel instead of the blacktop one so that was replace with a lighten flywheel. Trumpets were using the wrong bolts making them not sit completely flat with the surface and a few other minor problems.

I was lucky enough to send the car to get rebuild before these gave up!

If i took the car out for another track day, or drove it for any longer my engine would of went bye bye!

Quick run down what was done:

stock rebuild - seals, rings, bearings

trd head gasket

porting exhaust manifolds

replaced gearbox

heavy duty clutch and lighten flywheel

replace tie rods + rack boots
