Like the Mark X, the current Crown is based off the same platform shared with the Lexus IS & GS.

In Singapore & Hong Kong (Both of which are very small markets.), the Crown is available as an official import, but with a 3.0V6 (Without D-4) as seen in the Chinese-spec Crown, UAE/ Mainland China/ Philippine-spec IS300 & Reiz (MCDM Mark X). While we have Lexus here, I wonder if a Japanese-built RWD Premium sedan (Priced below the Lexus GS350.) rivaling the Holden Statesman V6 could work down under.
