HILUX CABIN FILTER

Got a price from Toyota today for a new a/c cabin filter for my SR Hilux $77 for the std type and get this $116 for the premium one (must have gold in the filter media ),I would imagine it is probably charcoal infused to help eliminate odours anyhow pulled the one out of the wifes Aurion and it is exactly the same size,shape everything is the same and it slipped straight in the slot perfectly,the only difference is the Aurion one has 3 times the amount of filter media compared to the Hilux one and also retails at Toyota for $39,even the bloke at the Service dept said they are the same size.

I ended up picking up two from Autobarn( RYCO- part #RCA164P ) for $22 each on special 40% off listed price.

Kids at Supercheap didnt have a clue what I was referring too.

Just thought I would let you know what interchanges to save you a few dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers! I have an 05 model so they didn't come with an incabin filter standard but it's a very easy mod to do.

However being 3 times as thick does it affect the fan speed much? I've heard even just putting in the standard one (compared to having none) has a noticeable effect.
