As of late i've noticed so many new corolla's running around, and they all look great. even the non sportivo's i see running around all seem to be atleast lowered with wheels.

6month-1yr ago they were still, in my oppinion "Rare" but as of late they seem to be really popular!

just good to see as the corolla is such a hot lil car =)

Australia's No.1 selling car last month, there were over 5000 sold Australia wide, outsold the Commodore !

Not surprising they are so common.

Corollas were the #2 best selling car (behind the VW Beetle) ever back in 1998.

1. Volkswagen Beetle, 1937

21 million made

2. Toyota Corolla, 1963

20 million

3. Ford Model T, 1908

15.5 million

4. Volkswagen Golf/Rabbit, 1974

15 million

5. Lada Riva, 1970

13.5 million

Does anyone know if we've taken that #1 position yet? :D

High fuel prices and the fact that Toyota had a sale that lasted for the whole of September as they are the main sponsor of AFL probably helped out a little.

Still, I have to agree that there are a lot more of them around now - both pre and post-facelifted versions.

Hopefully, the world-wide recall of the pre-facelifted version does not tarnish its reputation too much.

I didn't even notice the colour of my Corolla when I went in to buy it!

All my friends were asking me what colour it was and I was like... errr, I don't know!

I like it though.. you don't see as much of it around as the others. :)

Toyota states the colour as 'Shimmer (Mica Metallic)'

Kind of a mix of grey and blue.

Especially those for Royal District Nursing Service - all white! I saw five brand new post-facelifted sedans all reverse-parked and waiting to be picked up when I serviced mine recently.

The Sales guys used the opportunity and took a few photos!
