I just realised i've beeng using the the "wrong" oil filter for my 07 Camry. I used the the Ryco Z386 twice before never occur to me that i should be using Z432 untill today. Luciky it fits.

Z386 according to the book was for 96 camry.

Anyone know the difference? the Z432 looks to be a little longer.

Use the correct filter, the difference therefore, no longer matters.

Thread is the same. Diameter is the same. The ONLY difference is that z432 is longer. The 2zzge zze corollas run the z432 filter. 1zzfe corollas use the shorter z386. Also common on the previous corollas too. The z386 filter CAN also be used on the 2zzge engines. I heard something that the 2zzge owners run the shorter z386 to slightly up the compression of the engine. Not entirely sure this is 100% true...

Methinks you mean oil pressure, not compression :p

If its longer it'll take abit more oil in it, so more oil lol

probably either both are interchangeable.

K&N australia website shows their both oil filter HP-1003 and PS-1003 types are for the 2AZ-FE engine. Ebay Australian sellers are selling HP-1003 & PS-1003 cross referencing to Ryco Z386.....
