you're better off using "wax and grease" remover or prepwash to clean the parts with first as traditional degreaser will leave residue on the plastic.

oh really thanks ill remember this cus im hopefully doing it soon

does anyone else have any sort of info i will need before i get engine parts painted

i should be right anyways as im gonna get it done for me but maybe not yet im not certain

If your not confident to do it yourself then get a professional to do it as you'll end up making a hell of a mess. :( :( ;)

yeah ill just get my airbrushing freinds to do it for me (advanced airbrush)

i can do it, not to worried lol if it looks crap just keep bonnet down till i do it again LOL

but it will be done properly first time so it wont matter

thanks guys..took awhile to do it..but i guess its all worth while..was pretty surprised with the outcome though..heehe...but was all abit easier than i expected..so u guys with the plastic covers...go for it!!!
