Hey Guys,

I recently purchased a TRD Aurion from sydney and i have quick two question ..

Quesiton 1: I brought a set of new wheels 18x8.75 XXR 530 and they look ugly because its not lowered. i want to lower it on kingspring but will i sacrifice much performance if i switch to kingspring from TRD suspension Setup ? is the TRD spring any better or wont be much difference ?

** i did a $200 prepurchase inspect before i brought the car and the mechanic said the spring has some General shock wear, bush wear for age"

Question 2: those new wheels i brought are XXR 530 18x8.75 with 240/40/18 AdvanA13. is the 8.75 legal in QLD ? or i should just switch it to the 18x7.5 to be safe and not get pulled over? ( i reckon you can't tell if it sticks out or not , only if you look very close..)

get some coil over for it. bc do sets for about $1200.
just put some in mine and they are great.

also.. i hope you do get pulled over.. i just fitted 19 x 9.9 +38 and +32 on mine.
i don't think the cops will bother you to much.

also.. when you go lower you will have to roll your guards, it will scrub.

but coilover are expensive haha ! plus its uncomfortable isn't ?

how do you roll your guard ?

They are a few more $$
but you them have the option of putting your car to what ever high you like "within reason"

as for comfort.. i have always had coilovers in my cars and it has never bothered me personally..
you should be able to get a different spring rate when you order them for a better ride.. say a 5kg spring or so if it does bother you.

as for guard rolling.. you can pay someone to do it properly, by the tool yourself or.. my fav.. just use some tubing.. "youtube knows all"

Don't mess with BCs. Slide industries make a way better coilover and more options on spring rates etc.

I use to have BCs , DGRs and now slides.

Kings are very bouncy compared to TRD springs. I'd stay the way you are if your not willing to spend the cash on coils

if you can afford a trd am pretty sure you can afford the tyres loll

the trd was 2nd hand !! lol.

but yea...18'' tyres are cheaper i guess in the long run.

i had kings before ..on my aurion sportivo that i crashed, i think its alright.

so i guess just stay with the factory trd spring for now..if im not gonna get coilver ?

Fair enough still not cheap tho

yeah stick with the TRD springs ,if your planning to get coilovers

Hi JCP.

I'm wrecking an '07 TRD (SL) in WA (should be finished by 27.08.14), so there are still some original TRD parts available ...

If you wanna send me an email bid for any of the parts, read points 1 to 4 at the bottom of my first post, post #1 (current bids for each part are at post #10) ...

I have the exact same size tyre...and I'm paying $270 a pop. What brand are yours mate?

And we have three cars with BC coilovers in the house, never had a problem with them at all. Had better luck with the bc's than with teins

Jeez, and I was fairly happy with getting Maxxis tyres for $245 a corner recently, and avoiding Hiflys at $170 each. What are these magical $125 boots?

I've got maxxis myself, 270 a corner fitted is what i paid. how do your achilles go?
