By the sounds of it, the mechanism has jammed/failed. You may need to replace the unit or attempt to disassemble it or pay someone to do so.

Try disconnecting the battery and reconnect after a while. This will reset the ECU and all electronic circuits. The radio will reset itself and you should be able to eject the disks. I've performed this procedure on 2 occasions and was successful on both.

To save resetting everything just REMOVE the AUDIO FUSE for ten minutes or so, reinstall and all will be good. Happened to us not long ago.

But what did you hope to achieve by sticking a bloody knife in there mate. :o

I have to agree, you should never stick a knife in there. Not only because you can damage components in the unit but also because you could electrocute yourself. And even you live you may fry more components in the vehicle, not only in the stereo but through the hole car.

you could electrocute yourself.

A 12 volt car battery will not electrocute you. I am not saying try this(as it may be corrosive), but you can actually hold both battery terminals with dry hands and not even receive a tingle.

This is true, but I bet you don't try it while your wet.

And yes you could, there may be compositors in there that you don't know about. Regardless, it only takes .3 of an amp to kill someone so I'm not up for finding out.

We need to remember that it's the amps that does damage not the volts.

I have in the past, unintentionally. You get a bit of a sharp tingle.

Anyway, back on topic.
