Does anyone know if a 36 series steering wheel will fit a 20 series? Looking for a factory wheel with stereo controls that will suit.

Thanks everyone

The splines should be the same, but the airbag clock spring may be different.

but in the gen 5, pre face and facelift clock springs are different,

So I guess I should ask lol

Being that I have a crossover year gen4 I don't have airbags they weren't standard fit on the csi model back then so am I able to use an airbag wheel and just delete the clock spring ?

I think the clock spring has the horn contact and indicator cancel contacts incorporated in it. If that is the case, then no.

Hmm I'm sure creative wiring could get it working if that's the case but good to know what I'm up for if I get a wheel.

Thanks again!

05 Hilux airbag steering wheel into a much older Hilux, before clocksprings etc.

Airbag ignitor is removed, and horn contact ring from old steering wheel mounted behind new one.

Fiddly as hell but does sorta show it's possible to mount a newer Toyota steering wheel onto a much older Toyota.

Nice^^! Any other tips you have in doing this? Obviously might be a bit different between vehicles but it all helps!

Thanks

obviously every vehicle wheel swap is different so you can only work with what you've got.

By the above I meant to show that even some older swaps were possible without too much drama, but at the end of the day it's all down to the individual cars
